Absolutely not, Davis/Durant not only were just as physically gifted but their skills were on par with their body, with that said; its still way to early to determine that and I could be dead wrong by the time March/April roles around.
When I think of elite players who have led their teams to championships, I think of elite players on both sides of the court. Duncan, Wade, Kobe, LeBron, Shaq etc etc were all amazing offensive players. I'm not sure if Wiggins is on that level.
Looking at the college numbers so far I don't see Wiggins matching up to some of the recent great draft picks. I'm no college expert and maybe he could improve greatly as the season goes on.
Anthony Davis - 14 pts, 10.5 rbs, 1 assist, 5 blocks, 1 steal, 62% 5 ftas
KD - 26pts, 11 rbs, 1 assist, 2 steals, 2 blocks, 47% , 7.3 ftas
Wade - 21.5 pts, 6rbs, 4 assists, 2 steals, 1 block, 50% fg , 7.5 ftas
Wiggins - 17 pts, 6rbs, 2 assists, 2 steals, 55% fg, 5.3 ftas
To me he isn't on the level of some of these other players who have ended up as high draft picks and then done well on the NBA.
Will be interesting to watch as the season progresses. Too lazy to add Parker's stats.
One thing which is interesting is KD for example averaged a good 6 mins more that Wiggins is right now.
Oh Yeah Man, you're completely right I don't see dwayne wade and andrew wiggins college stats measuring up at all...oh except for this one thing....here's dwayne wade's college averages:
http://statsheet.com/mcb/players/player ... wyane-wade
If you told a random realgmer that wade's freshman numbers were wiggins freshman number's you would fool a lot of people. That's is if they ignored wiggins better efficiency. Also judging wiggins on a sample size of 3 games and saying he can't compare to player x is a bit silly since wiggins could score 30 next game or get a triple double or go 3-15 from the field and completely skew his statistics due to lol sample size.
That said it should be worth noting that dwayne wade put up some "wiggins seems like a bust" type statsitcal averages for his frosh year, and he turned out pretty good!
