his offensive sets seriously lacked any creativity though. We could have made a coaching staff of this board and run an offense as creative as Vinny's.

The excuse gets lame on the defensive end. We all can now see how the supposedly great defensive coach Doc (he got a lot of praise for being such during the summer) struggles with this bunch as well.

I was the most anti-Bennett guy on this board (I stand by what I said before the draft- I wouldn't have selected him anywhere in the lottery even in this draft) and I didn't expect him to be this bad. 12 games in, Cavs fans are already booing him. The dude has nearly as many fouls as points, is already falling out of the rotation and is shooting an impressive 13.5/7.7. Those are his percentages. He's shooting 13% from the field on 37 attempts. I literally feel sorry for the dude.

Hahahaha wow this is just terrible. Reads like points/rebounds. Oh my god that's terrible. Terrible.

this Bennett has got to get in better shape. I know he was injured in the off season but this off season he needs to focus on getting in shape and getting a better diet and packing on some muscle

This offseason? He needs to do it now. If he's not healthy then he should've stayed out till he was.

"They cheated us from winning," Adams, the brother of Olympic gold-medallist shot-putter Valerie Adams, told reporters.
"So from then on it just doesn't matter how nice you are - if you're an Aussie, we're not going to like you.
"I search out Aussies and make it my job to make their lives miserable."

It's true. Kiwis hate Aussies and vice versa. It's all good in the hood though, because we get to cook the beef when we play rugby and league matches against each other. And that cricket match he's talking about would be this game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Underarm_bowling_incident_of_1981

not in WA, there is not that much animosity, worked/socialised with plenty and although there can be the usual ribbing there is nothing like the crap this guy is saying.

it has to be a joke surely.

Anyone know the record for the least amount of team assists in an NBA game?

Because the Nets only had 7 assists (on 31 made baskets) tonight.

the record seems to be 3. the post-Jordan Bulls don't surprise me, however, the 2000 Knicks do. no wonder that both records came in the late90s/early 2000s era though.

http://www.basketball-reference.com/box ... 10IND.html

pre-1986 (bk-ref can't find this yet) four other teams accomplished this:

3 - Boston vs. Minneapolis, at Louisville, November 28, 1956
3 - Baltimore vs. Boston, October 16, 1963
3 - Cincinnati vs. Chicago, at Evansville, December 5, 1967
3 - New York at Boston, March 28, 1976

our record of 8 came in a slugfest against Miami

These three tweets are depressing:

"Good source tells me #Bulls fear it's a torn right ACL for Derrick Rose. If so, unlikely he will ever be the same."

"Rumors are swirling Marc Gasol has a Grade 2 MCL tear and will be out 10 weeks."

"Andre Iguodala said he felt a pop in his left hamstring. "That's when I knew it was serious. ... I can't even walk right now.""

Moreover, this **** happens to three like-able guys.

That's terrible- 3 potential all-stars all having serious injuries on the same night.

Rose's injury is on the "healthy" knee isn't it? Compensation injury for trying to take it easy on the injured knee?

This also punts my fantasy team as I selected Rose 8th (?) overall.

This season overall has been rather disappointing to me for some reason. Just seems kinda "meh" thus far.

half the league is tanking, two of the teams that are title contenders are very unlikeable (miami and clippers), the past few drafts havent produced many young exciting players to follow and now we have three all-stars who could be gone for the season, all three from teams that would at least be considered good enough to reach conference finals.

so yeah, pretty blah season so far.

I don't think that half of the league is tanking. It's just that the average Eastern teams (Detroit, Milwaukee, Washington, Cleveland and Toronto) screwed a pooch by heading in the season expecting to make the playoffs but turning out to be rather weak. When you add them to the completely normal number (approximately 5 - Utah, Suns, Sixers, Magic, Celtics) of teams that tanked from the start and consider that us and the Kings are still bad, even though we haven't tanked that blatantly and actually did upgrade our roster during summer, it combines to a whole lot of blah teams. Those are already 12 teams I've mentioned. And then there are the Knicks and Nets of this world...

Bottom line is that it has been a bit of a wacky start to the season and the teams that are in the middle of the standings are weaker than usual and a lot weaker than you should be in November. I'd say that if there was no Miami, this would be a fun and unpredictable year.

Oh and also I'm just a junkie who will probably enjoy every NBA season.
