Parker is pretty clearly the more polished scorer of the two, but he's got less athleticism/tools to work with, which makes his ceiling a little lower. At least that's my take..
He's closer to being a "known quantity" in terms of - you know what you're going to get from him, whereas you see that Wiggins has a lot of room to grow.
Polished guys are able to still get better. They don't need weaknesses in order to. That's the biggest misconception, that you somehow have to be flawed or lacking to have a high ceiling. Harden is an example of a guy everyone thought was a finished product. Parker is even a better talent IMO. The point there is always room for growth no matter how good you are. LeBron is a great example. There's no doubt he was an excellent player from the beginning, do you doubt that he's much better now?
I actually don't think lebron has "grown" a lot in the league - of course he's great, he came into the league NBA ready. He was already at the point of just having to fine tune his game and become acclimated to the league.
What ends up haunting people though is seeing players like Wiggins and drooling at his "potential". Depends on what makes him tick psychologically though. It remains to be seen if he really is just shy (remember - jordan was a shy young guy too, but if you check out his interviews, you could tell by his responses that he had all sorts of wheels rolling in his head. I'm not so sure wiggins has that) - or if he's just finding himself and needing time to adjust.
When I've seen Wiggins speak I get the feeling he always wants a nap. lol
Yes, this is my version of the caliper test.
