For Paul George to be first he needs to have a bigger advantage in wins than just 2. If the Pacers can open up a noticable lead over the rest of the league then Paul George would be the favorite.

This is a flat out lie.

James has sat out about four entire 4th quarters (through 16 games) and exited early in a number of others.
Don't believe the hype...

And the point of this post is?

He is doing what he should be doing, dominating.

i know the same applies for paul geroge but the pacers have the best record and they have made a rapid jump from where they were last season.

because Lebron > George

LeBron is having the most efficient offensive season of all time.

What's your point?

If we're going to factor in th terrible East when discussing Lebron then obviously we should do the same with the Pacers and George.

It's inconsistent if you don't.

Everyone agrees he was the best player last year.
Nobody thinks anyone else has risen to that level this year, and nobody really thinks he's fallen, so people think he's the best player around still.

Given that, they ask themselves if they really see anything that warrants doubting his MVP-ness.

With a record like the Heat currently have, and an average margin of victory, there's basically nothing that would turn most of us against LeBron at this point. However, if Indy truly keep their winning pace up and goes 77-5, and everything else stays along its same pace, I think George probably wins the MVP.

Of course...there's no way in hell Indy is going to win 77 games, which is why people refuse so early in the year to side with a guy like George over a guy like LeBron based on team performance.

LeBron is the most valuable player in the league, which is how a lot of people view the award.

There isn't a player who is more valuable in terms of basketball abilities and talent than LeBron.

Solid? I think 32-10-10-4-4 is better than just solid.

Hah....yeah. I was being sarcastic.

He may not replicate that again but it's not like these 30-7-7 games are a fluke for him now.

Other than tonight he's had games of: (PTS-REB-AST)

37-8-7
33-13-6
33-6-10
38-8-6
28-6-8

I do think tonight was the most impressive statline I've ever seen from him. Maybe his highest level of play, too, he looked really really good for the last 15 minutes (which is all that I saw).

Maybe more important, the whole OKC team is looking good (and deep!). I think that's gonna be the most important factor in KD's MVP candidacy. If the Thunder can somehow capture the best record in the league -- or even get close to the Heat/Pacers -- then the weakness of the East and voter fatigue will give Durant a very good shot at the award.
