IDK about that. I think he will be judged harshly but it will be unfair. Im actually not counting on him much. Anything he gives is icing on the cake. For a rookie to miss that much time and be totally out of shape on top of it while only being able to get sparringly bench minutes, it could be really hard for him to play well. He will be way behind on game speed & timing. Could be a lost season for him or atleast until late. Ill be estatic if he's better then that but if he's not then I wont rip him. Whats worst though is that Ariza & Web are soooo good that everyone will question the draft pick.
As for the injury, I think they were just going to be super cautious. You dont want to play around with a hip injury. Come back to soon and it can linger for a long time. I think he probably couldve came back a couple of weeks ago but they are just being cautious
