I'd definitely be in favor of giving him a shot. I think there's a place in the NBA for undersized PG's who really know how to play. They can't be starters because of defensive mismatches, but they can be the engine that runs a second unit.

To clarify, are you saying that Wittman lost the game because he should have put Maynor in to give Wall rest? Or are you saying that we lost the game because Maynor sucks so bad that Wittman couldn't afford to put him in? I agree with the latter.

He might be saying the bench sucks so bad even wall couldntbhelp the bench leakage that was caused by injury
