Again, stop thinking we don't need superstars to win championships. We do. Monroe is no superstar. And we have the ability to attract one if we plan correctly. Get us a reasonably priced defensive center first.
The real question is if you think it'd be easier to dump on Detroit or OKC? The very fact we can have that debate really highlights what a landfill OKC is. No place for a newlywed, much less to raise children.

I would make that deal in a heartbeat but surely the Pistons can get more than that for Monroe.
I'm actually very curious as to what the non-draft crush, non-DC/Georgetown area observer thinks of Monroe. He's not a 7 footer, he doesn't block shots, and he doesn't bang. He's an ok rebounder and has ok hands. I just think he has an "it" that belies his numbers. He's not a max guy but he'll be making low-teen millions for the rest of his career - at least that's what I have him valued at. A 12ish million per year guy. I'd be surprised if he gets even Marc Gasol money.

We can't deal a first ( future first or otherwise) this year due to the Gortat trade.
And this is why I should keep my nose out of the trade thread.
