this this this

and the other guy who said if lowry gives us 10-12 maybe 14 points a night. With good defense

he would be light years better than felton.

Lowry can actually stay in front of the guards in the NBA, felton is fat and can't.

Shack this Sh*t up and fire Woodson!!!!

Trading away Felton is probably the only way we get a different starting PG the rest of the year. At least until we dump the coach and who knows if the new guy will be smarter. The biggest plus in that Felton/Shump deal is that Felton doesn't get to play for us any more. This is the catch-22 thanks to our stubborn coach.

I think Felton is going to be hurt all year... And I wouldn't commit to another point guard at this point in the season unless it was a big upgrade.

Lowry does nothing for me man... When I envision the kind of PG that can do for Melo what he needs done for him I don't envision this guy. Just sit tight... we'll make the playoffs.. just can the coach and Start Prigioni.

Shumpert. We've been sitting around with our thumbs in our asses waiting on his "potential" and all he does is shoot 40% from the field and get injured.

With THJ, at least there's still hope.

But didn't you hear? This is all Woodson's fault! Shumpert thrived under D'Antoni! The Knicks ruined Shumpert!

Tim is a true shooting guard, run him off curls and let him shoot the rock. People will kill Tim when his defense is utterly exposed.

THJ can't guard anybody.. the guy is going to be a constant liability on defense his whole career.. I wouldn't trade him for Lowry but I would trade him in a heartbeat for an actual upgrade at the point guard position.

Jason Terry or Jamal Crawford can't guard anyone that well either. How are their careers working out?

If the team is planning on hiring JVG or THibs.. then this guy is expendable, period.

And I'll wager you anything you want he doesn't have as good a career as Terry or Crawford.

Probably not, but he can shoot the 3 ball at an elite level already and can finish in transition. Also how do you know that he can't improve on defense? He's playing bad D now, but with his athleticism he can become at least an average defender in this league. And we are not getting JVG or Thibbs

Toronto locks the Tank in and we add by subtraction

I like the potential in THJR than i do in Shump honestly he's hella athletic, reliable 3 point shooter, Nice size and length for his position, can shoot off screens, Finishes in transition.

Regarding his defense he probably will never be a very good defender but he has the potential and athletism to be at least an average one in the NBA.

He's a downright awful defender.. I want the team to start focusing on acquiring guys who play both sides of the court.

And for me you either have good defensive instincts and know how or you don't.

Howard Beck @HowardBeck about 31 minutes ago

Shumpert fans, exhale: I'm told chances of him going to TOR in a Lowry deal are slim. Raps not high on him. Knicks prefer to keep (for now).

Agreed, I don't know how much Lowry actually improves us. He's better than Felton but his only redeeming feature is that he can knock down three's better than Felton and nobody in the NBA is as bad as Felton at defending PG's. I want a damned Dragic deal but that seems impossible now that Shump has ruined his value and Dragic has shown the Suns how good he really is.

I'd love to just see Prigs start and Murry get some actual opportunities to be the back-up. Whatever it takes to see Felton STOP GETTING MINUTES (I'm subconsciously screaming at Woody with those caps). I've lost patience with Shump though, and I don't think it would be the worst thing in the world if the (now pretty much debunked I know) Felton/Shump deal happened.
