The only thing that can stop him is a woman.

Young team, road game on "hallowed" ground. I don't think there's any point to arguing individual calls, but no doubt the Celts were allowed a different level of physicality. The Pistons have no real standing yet, so they're not going to get a lot of calls on the road most nights.
Jennings played a great game, and it would have been better if he'd have gotten some help from his teammates when Bradley was bumping him all over the floor. Still, what is it some of you people want from him? Take a look at his line (yeah, I know, stats lie). Smith's defense on the final play was perfect. His interview after the game was well spoken and spot on (amazing for such a dumb guy, huh?).
Oh, and thanks to Maker_84 for adding even more entertainment value to the thread. I thought about putting him on a list, but then decided why let him upset me? He's so predictable. My congrats to those who kept their perspective through the whole thing (you know who you are).

Nope, I'm saying I didn't see an obvious foul, period.
I'm also saying maybe, just MAYBE going iso Jennings against Bradley wasn't a good idea in the 1st place. Its the equivalent of going iso Smoove against LeBron and Jennings is being guarded by Roger Mason or some other tomato can. You look across from you to who's guarding you, see that you don't have the decided advantage, and find the teammate that DOES, and feed em.

I understand, but there is no one else in that lineup that could handle the ball or shoot as well as Jennings. You definitely don't want to pass it to Moose who will fumble the ball, or to Smith who will shoot a long ass 2, or to Dre who will get hacked. They also didn't seem to help by not moving around. The picks set by Smith and Dre weren't effective either.
Jennings was hot this game too. So why not ride him?

He does the same thing on the Ohio state scout forum he is hated over there as well.
Considering he's an ohio state fan, I'm guessing he's a closet Cavs fan too just here to troll.
Note to forum, if everyone puts him on their ignore list, he will literally disappear lol

Hindsight much? You can't blame us complaining when we were down 21 in the first quarter against a team that had the same record as us.
You know, for all the years I have watched Pistons basketball, you would think I wouldn't get so emotionally invested, but I just cant help it.hoophabit wrote:engelbert321 wrote:hoophabit wrote:This thread was great fun to read! I'm not sure where hindsight comes into it. I'm not claiming I knew the Pistons would win. In fact, I thought it was going to be a bad loss. Happily it wasn't, but there will be others that are. I'm just saying relax and enjoy it, which I know can be hard to do when you're a fan. I'm not blaming anyone for anything. It just struck me funny. Being one of the geezers, I suppose it's easier for me having watched the Pistons go from bottom to top twice, and it wasn't always. Remember, we watch this stuff for fun.

i was one of the biggest supporters of knight, even got his jersey after the rookie year, and i hated the trade when it happened. but wow am i glad it got done. knight really hasnt progressed any more, and jennings is a big time player, making plays knight never wouldve done.
moose has been really solid lately too, and drummond inhales rebounds no matter how he plays on help defense. drummond with a killer instinct and even more confidence could become deadly in a few years. if he has the confidence and aggressiveness of shaq, with his athleticism, theres no limit to his ceiling.
josh smith is still the question mark, but im starting to see a LOT of improvement in his mindset and his understanding of how to fit in with the team at the SF. this team could be very could in the next few seasons. a little more chemistry, and a continued weak eastern conference should mean we are competitive for years to come.
tmorgan wrote:Jennings with a pretty good game tonight, eh?
Interesting stat line from elsewhere -- Brandon KNIGHT. Game isn't over, as it's tied in overtime, but he has 36 points on 23 shots (6 threes), and nine rebounds.
Thing is, though, he's just not a point guard. He's played 45 minutes and has 2 assists and 8 turnovers. If you can work the matchups and play him at the 2, there's nothing wrong with him as a NBA starter. If he runs the show, he's mostly running it for himself.

Bad teams just don't win on the road, period.
Its weird though that they have a losing record at home. To comfortable? If they like just about every other team in the league that's good, had a winning home record, would be sitting a hell of a lot prettier in the standings.

Playing a lot of superior playoff teams at home early this season probably explains the poor home record...Oklahoma City, Indiana, Miami, Atlanta, Portland.

Apparently me going to games too has been an indication of a home loss. I went to like 4 or 5 games this season so far and we have lost them all. I'm going to two more next week so hopefully I'm not a curse.
