Patience. Let’s enjoy our team, evaluate the keepers and wait for a desperate team to come calling. The future is bright in Phoenix.

We now have a huge athletic frontcourt, with shot blocking presences at both PF and C. Ibaka can hit the midrange jumper with ease, and has 3 point range. Also he can run the pick and roll. Surrounding them with shooters, and still with a whole bunch of capspace, we would be contending very soon IMO.
If for some reasons a trade MUST be made, I'd certainly entertain this one. I'm not sure OKC pulls the trigger though. Noah is 28, which is by no means old, but Ibaka only turned 24 a few months ago and OKC sees him as a part of their core for the long term along with KD and Westbrook.

That doesn't drop Wolves down much at all and fixes their need for a SF..
Pekovic, Faried, Galinari, Martin, Rubio....
I am 100% with you. Nuggets have a much better offer, However I think the trade would not only the best offer. I think the best scenario for Love a team played for him offensively (and i think he wants it, thats amazing he play with bled and dragig). And i look our time in this position.
to have more chance of success in a trade for him, The best shot is the deadline. I think NYK can get worse ... I doubt the denver abdicate the top7 pick
You're forgetting that Love holds power regarding trades whether or not he agrees to an extensión. It's about who has the most pieces after trading for him leaving enough around him to win a championship. That would be us if our competition is Denver IMO.

I will welcome a trade outlined by Carey with his 'keepers'. I have surprisingly grown fond of the group of kids who are playing their nuts off, but realize to get someone like Love, some quality talent has to be exchanged. Nobody is going to give up their star player just for mid picks, no matter how strong this draft is. And I doubt we swap out our 'potential stars in the making'.
Minny does not have to do anything till the off season with Love. If they fail this yr, they get their own lotto pick. If they make the playoffs and get bounced early (likely) then they can regroup and decide on draft day / when the lotto balls fall. Thing is, there is no more Kahn there, and I would think Adelman has significant input to assure his tenure. Its all up to them, unless of course, Love says TRADE ME FOR GAWD SAKES.
Whatever happens, draft day is going to be like Christmas to us who have endured the ghost from the draft-mas past.
Agreed.

But trading Dragic right now? Ridiculous. Most likely to go my ass. Our backcourt is amazing.
How do you tank?

I agree, it's the fact that the future is bright that makes it exciting to think what is next.

Re: Official Suns Free Agent/Trade/Transaction Thread
Regarding the Ford comment, he's right about us not expecting to compete. Not sure why he thinks we'd trade Dragic. And of course the Kings have interest. So does ever other team in need of a PG.
Kings have nothing outside of Cousins that I'd want.

Re: Official Suns Free Agent/Trade/Transaction Thread
Suns stand pat this year and let the season play out. If however a superstar deal pans out, make a trade.
I would prefer to see the Minnesota and Wizards pick convey to next year when we would again have 4 1st's, one being the LA pick. Draft picks are more valuable than freshly drafted prospects.

Yeah I don't think ford watches many nba games. Gorans obviously not untouchable if the right star was coming back but the kings wouldn't be a good trade partner.

Goran should be untouchable based on his play and how good he looks with Bledsoe so far. Top 3 backcourt easily.

Re: Official Suns Free Agent/Trade/Transaction Thread
I really like what the Suns have been doing this year. To me, it's really good for the league. I've heard about the Deng rumors of him going to Phoenix for Okafor and a future 1st. To be quite honest, if we won't re-sign Deng, I'd like to see him get traded to the Suns. He's a true professional, and will help your team in the playoffs.

Deng seems like a big addition, but is he?
It would take time away from Marcus, who's been playing as well as we could hope as of late, has create chemistry with the squad (especially with his brother) and overall seems like a better fit with his 3 ball.

Re: Official Suns Free Agent/Trade/Transaction Thread
Chad Ford answers a random fan's query about Suns, he mentions Kings interested in Dragic... makes rumor mills around the net.
The way Dragic is playing, I bet half the league are interested.
Unless Kings are trading Cousins for a package of Dragic and filler, I dont think they have enough nor does it make sense.
Mclemore and their 2014 pick is enticing, but I'd wait until february deadline to gauge where the Kings are.

There is zero chance the Kings make either of those trades

And I know that... Hence it's a point that Ford's rumour has no basis but yet it spread around.

I really like Deng, but this is something I've really been struggling with for any potential addition: who do you take minutes from?
Top 8 in minutes:
Dragic
Tucker
Plumlee
Frye
Bledsoe
Green
Morris
Morris
Everyone on there is uniquely filling the role they've been asked to fill almost perfectly, and/or they're a young, developing asset. Addition may be subtraction: a "talent" upgrade might come with new ego and chemistry issues.

If it ends up being a possibility, I would love Chandler Parsons on this team in 2015. Perfect fit IMO
