He won't make your jaw drop with "my god that was a dumb shot" but the result is the same--a 33% TS with a complete inability to run an offense.
I'd love to get Jimmer. He'd help us stretch the floor off the bench.
Jimmer ? As in Jimmer Fredette ? Not seeing it.
At this stage of the game they have some solid pieces. They also have some big questions.
Lots of players could stay or go. But with the core PG, SG and SF look more settled then the front court. At least there are more interesting options. I think the next piece you add to the guards is all about fit. Personality included. What I think they need there is a CJM type. Good enough to play some PG, good enough to create as a SG. Easy personality. Decent defender. Someone who can fast break. CJM would be damn bear a perfect fit here.
Crawford with a better persona would have been ideal as well. I think thats the skill set they need. Not sure that is Jimmer.
I'm still sticking with what I have leaned toward since they singed TA and Okafor. I think they will keep TA if they can. I think they might even try to get Okafor back cheap. They will even lean toward keeping Kevin S and Ves if they can but cheaper.
The moves I think they make are borderline unless they have to do more. Singleton or Booker. Maybe they replace Glen. Maynor get moved if they find something better. But this team is gelling and getting better. They have 3 solid 5 man line ups. Problem is, it involves only 6 players right now. Maybe Otto makes that 7.
One more front court player and one more combo guard is what I think they are evaluating.
That and HC and GM. They need to draft well moving forward to make this work. I think they are in a 2 year cycle to see what that brings between now and 2016 so no long term contracts unless under 4M.
