They've been on the active roster most of their time here. Don't think it's anything more than sending them down fir 1 game of this "showcase" to give them minutes, see how they perform in a bigger role before contract deadline and then bringing them back.

I think it was more like 'we are flying cross country and have to play in less than 24 hours, we need bodies." Also, Bynum wont come here, we arent even at the salary cap floor, why would we need to cut salaries?

We're back on the Tank.

I am very sorry for Ryan Anderson and his injury. I wish him 100% recovery. That being said, Hawes and Thad's value just went up!

Not to mention the value of the PeliPick...

Man we should really take a look at Devin Ebanks.

He's playing really really well In the D league (I've been watching the d league showcase games out of boredom)..
His size, length fir a wing is great, and he's got some potential to be developed into a decent 3/D wing off the bench for us.

Contracts become guaranteed at the end of the day, are we really keeping Davies, Williams, and/or Brown?

Orton is getting waived... Hinkie losing my confidence tbh, not just this move, but neglecting to call up Marshall, the trio of **** is still on the roster whom all have less upside than Orton (which is sad in and of itself), I just don't understand wtf he is doing.

We are talking to Ty Walker, sounds like a potential Orton replacement

Walker is a BIG dude. 7 foot, 7'6 inch wingspan and a standing reach of 9'5. That's a longggg SOB.

Doesn't seem to be much of a offensive player. But if he's blocking almost 4 shots a game in the D league and grabbing around 9 boards, i think he'd def be worth a look.

Still want to hear we signed Devin Ebanks....looked really good in the few games I've seem him play in D league. Def has potential to be developed into a quality wing off the bench who can play great perimeter D with his size/length and run the floor hit open jumper.

I asked Chad Ford on his chat today about realistic returns for Young or Turner.

Kevin (Richmond)

Chad, what should the Sixers realistically expect to get as a return in a trade for either Thaddeus Young or Evan Turner?
Chad Ford (1:13 PM)

I think Young should be able to fetch them quite a bit. He's only 25 years old and I think he's finally coming into his own. I heard the Cavs flirted with trying to acquire him in the Bynum deal, but the Sixers wanted the Cavs first rounder this year to do it. The Cavs balked.

Pretty interesting answer I thought. Would have loved to have gotten the Cavs 1st for Thad this year. Perhaps it starts to give us an idea of his value and what we want for him.

That's cool Chad Ford does those chats. I've always considered him an actual "expert" over at ESPN, unlike many of their other journalists.

Before the Deng Trade, I thought the Cavs were a lottery team. Now, I think they make the playoffs. I'd much rather have Thad than a 20s pick.

I was surprised by the Orton release. Shows I don't know Jack! I just watch the games and listen to all of you other knuckleheads cursed with rooting for this team like me. Anyway, if Orton's gone, I'd like to see Ty Walker and Devin Ebanks come in and get some run. Maybe we will play defense for the rest of the season and NEXT year we play offense and defense (Noel will help, of course).

I've been wondering if these 19 year old kids coming into the NBA are physically ready for the 82 game schedule. Maybe guys like John Wall and Derrick Rose, for instance, would have avoided their injuries if they had only played 100 college games by the age of 22 instead of 400 pro games. I think it's great that Noel has this full year to train under this organizational philosophy we hear so much about.

I also wonder why MCW was logging minutes the other Night against the Cavs in the 4th quarter when we are down by 20+ points. Sorry, Coach Brown. So far, I'm loving' most of it but I think MCW ought to be put on a pitch count for the rest of the season. MCW IS THE FUTURE. We already have our Franchise Guy. Noel and whatever comes in this draft and dealing should make this team very competitive by next year!

The East sucks! There are sooo many teams on the Tank, this year and next. There is a great big opportunity to make a move in the East beginning NEXT YEAR.

I would be worried, except they definately seem to be taking care of him... dude gets a cough and he sits a few games. I think they are doing a decent job bringing him a long, and if some games that means big minutes I'm okay with that. I'm not sure he *is* the future, but he is defiantely a part of getting us to the future, whether that means continued development as *the man* or a very important robin to the batman we draft this year... or maybe as the key cog in a trade that lands us Lebron (/wink)

HA, HA,... MCW seems like a quick study. He's lifted a little of that Tony Wroten "just take the ball to the hole" philosophy and I mean that in a positive way. Especially since MCW can do so much more with the ball than Tony or ET, for that matter, when he gets to the hole. We're definitely going to need some bombers from 3.

Last thought. I was really hoping Hinkie would turn ET into Dion Waiters. Doesn't Waiters skill set fit this system better than ET? And do you think that the Luol Deng move precludes us moving ET to the CAVS?

The people reading this board probably know Waiters well. What's the take?

I guess that wasn't my last thought but you had to bring up Lebron. Lemme just say this. I don't have to hate the guy... For me, it was the "Press Conference" ESPN Special... I don't care about the rest of his baggage. I am all about forgiveness and I think it's appropriate for ownership to roll out a red carpet for Lebron and give him the opportunity to come and get with The Program or to let IT roll on over him when we pull KD or Kevin Love next year.

This is way off topic but that Demarcus Cousins/Rudy Gay/Isaih Thomas squad we played last week is doomed! They ought to hit the Yellow Brick Road in search of a brain, a heart and something for the little guy. I dunno... Give the kid a lolly pop.
