Before the Deng Trade, I thought the Cavs were a lottery team. Now, I think they make the playoffs. I'd much rather have Thad than a 20s pick.
I was surprised by the Orton release. Shows I don't know Jack! I just watch the games and listen to all of you other knuckleheads cursed with rooting for this team like me. Anyway, if Orton's gone, I'd like to see Ty Walker and Devin Ebanks come in and get some run. Maybe we will play defense for the rest of the season and NEXT year we play offense and defense (Noel will help, of course).
I've been wondering if these 19 year old kids coming into the NBA are physically ready for the 82 game schedule. Maybe guys like John Wall and Derrick Rose, for instance, would have avoided their injuries if they had only played 100 college games by the age of 22 instead of 400 pro games. I think it's great that Noel has this full year to train under this organizational philosophy we hear so much about.
I also wonder why MCW was logging minutes the other Night against the Cavs in the 4th quarter when we are down by 20+ points. Sorry, Coach Brown. So far, I'm loving' most of it but I think MCW ought to be put on a pitch count for the rest of the season. MCW IS THE FUTURE. We already have our Franchise Guy. Noel and whatever comes in this draft and dealing should make this team very competitive by next year!
The East sucks! There are sooo many teams on the Tank, this year and next. There is a great big opportunity to make a move in the East beginning NEXT YEAR.
“This may be one of the best jobs in basketball right now,” Colangelo said at a press conference introducing him as the new GM of the 76ers after Sam Hinkie resigned.
