The Knicks best hopes is that enough clicks after this benching that Smith does well enough to make him actually somewhat tradeable. Right now, he's not. It's the lowest point of his career. Doesn't make sense to overpay to move him (and you'll have to overpay by adding incentives for any team to take him).

Core trade would be:

Tyson for Buck's Butller/Sanders

I would include a pick but not Shump or THJ.
if they wanted to dump Neal and Mayo instead of an expiring Butler, I would be ok with that but then we would have to dump JR to them or in another trade.

JR Smith and Bargs for Gordon

shuts down some of the 2015 speculation by adding a lot of contract however it gives us a legitimate 2nd scorer

His value, Gordon that is, is very low right now. So NO might want to save a bunch of $ and add two pieces that can possibly work for them in the process

Felton, Gordon and Shump in a small lineup works nicely
Or Gordon coming off the bench filling JR's role even
Or this might be the way to open up a trade of Shup and Amare for someone solid, now that they are both playing so well.

New Orleans is pushing EG hard & they're short on PF depth right now you think they would be interested in Bargain? Especially seeing how Ryan anderson is out indefinitely and he was a stretch 4:
Bargs + JR for EG + Rivers

Felton
EG
Shumpert
Melo
Chandler
Also gives us the opportunity to play Tyler & Toure a little more.

OR
JR + Felton for Taj Gibson + Teague
Get in on the Bulls "fire sale" and get somewhat of a real 4 in here.

Murray
Shumpert
Melo
Gibson
Chandler

Add Bynum and that's a pt guard away from a championship team or an EJ knee injury away from square one.
I can see a desperate Mill/Dolan doing this.

Worst trade for rondo ever

Jr has negative value and if they trade rondo they're rebuilding. Why would they want chandler

They would want picks

The only way I see rondo coming is via a 3 team deal.

The knicks have a big asset in Tyson Chandler (that both OKC and Portland) would love.

OKC hasn't gotten any production out of there center position. Getting Tyson gives them a starting Lineup of Chandler, Ibaka, Durant, Thabo, and Westbrook (great mix right there)

Portland has horrible defense and even though Lopez is putting up good #'s he isn't a good team defender. Tyson helps that team so much.

Both OKC and Portland have young pieces and picks that would interest Boston.

If we were willing to take back a contract like Gerald Wallace we could probably could get something done.

Something like:

NYK Recieve:
Rondo
Wallace
Perkins

Boston Receives:
Reggie Jackson or Steven Adams (whoever boston would want)
Amare (salary matching)
Perry Jones
a 1st from NYK (2018) and a 1st from OKC

Thunder Recieve:
Tyson Chandler
Raymond Felton (backs up westbrook for losing Jackson)

I think that trade work in the checker too.

Would be at least interesting to think about don't you think?

Knicks would look like:

Rondo
Shumpert
Melo
Kmart
Bargs

Prigs
THjr
Wallace
Perkins

JR and Murry would still by on the roster as well.

Davis, Nelson for Andrea, Felton, 2018 top-5 protected 1st, THJ, Cash

- save 2015 money
- try to aim for the 3 seed this year.

Chandler | STAT | Cole
Davis | Kenyon Martin | Tyler
Melo | Metta
Shump | JR | Toure
Jameer | Pablo | Beno

Of course it was a unanimous yes on the Magic board.

We get an aging Nelson and an aging/often injured big baby and we give away what has been our 2nd best player (Bargs) our starting pg and 1st round pick, a top 10 rookie from this year and cash....are you crazy???

ehhh both those teams are looking for a defensive leader. Bynum is far from a leader. I don't think anyone wants that clown bynum who only plays for himself.

I just think the knicks could survive without tyson. Someone like OKC or Portland could really benifit from his presence .

I'm not sure Bargnani and JR gets you Ben Gordon, let alone Eric Gordon. You'd have to trade Tyson for him.

NYK - get there PG

BOS - gets a young player in reggie jackson and 2 1st rounders + they lose an extra year off wallace's contract

OKC - gets a all-star calibre center (something they desperetly need)

i think every team wins, who doesnt?

Thunder aren't trading their youth

Jackson
Adams
Jones
Lamb
Roberson

will all play big roles for them especially next year

they have a great mix of vets(Perkins, Collison, Fisher), prime players(Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka and Sefolosha) and youth(Jackson, Adams, Jones, Roberson and Lamb)

disagree, they have nothing as long as durant and westbrook aren't playing at a high level. If westbrook is there jackson is limited to a backup role.

THey have gotten zero production out of center the last couple years I think you are really underestimating an all-star calibre center that could come to there team.

THey really wouldn't be breaking up the core (jackson and 1st most likely late) for tyson chandler? OKC would be foolish not to make that deal.
