As long as he continues to play solid, he should be in the rising stars challenge and a good bet for Rookies 2nd team. He may have a shot at 1st team, but I doubt he gets the minutes to get there, and he won't have have a realistic chance at ROY imo.
I'm happy he's playing well, must be tough missing out on so much of the rookie season, but he's in a situation where he can ease into things on a winning team in Portland.
1st team should probably consist of:
MCW
Oladipo
Burke
Giannis
+ Somebody else. No one has really stuck out yet other than these 4 guys, who are locks in my eyes. Maybe KCP can play himself into it, I like that guys game.
Depth wise, this class has been terrible. But at the top, I think there are 3 guys who are very good bets to be allstars in the future. MCW and Oladipo have been producing, but still have a lot of potential to get better with their work ethics, physical gifts and good skill sets.
Giannis could really become a superstar. That dude is just so crazy, his potential is just through the roof. Is there anything he can't do? I've already seen him make 3pointers, but even the way he carries himself on the court, he plays hard, is unselfish but no to a fault, he's comitted to get better, is a genuienly good kid... The Bucks got an absolute steal. Now you never know whats going to happen, they might want dat 8th seed and trade him away for Omer Asik and Chandler Parsons (and some 2nd rounders) like they did with Tobias Harris, but it's hard to see them f things up what this big of a talent. The bucks future should be bright as long as there's no locker room riots and that kind of cool stuff.
Its hard to imagine a fanbase more deserving to get Giannis. Bucks have been terrible for a long time, nice that things are finally (even if accidentally) going their way.
