Irvings a nice offensive player, but he doesn't play much D and hes about as brittle as Mr. Glass. I probably wouldn't even want him if he was just an FA looking for a max deal, so anything involving Dre would definitely be a no for me.

To be fair, Drummond still sucks at both ends of the floor and he's not that much younger than Irving, not saying I want to make such a deal either, just wondering what the team could look like moving forward with...

Now I know you are trolling and just trying to rile people up, because Drummond is already bordering a top 5 center in the NBA and is 3rd in Rebounds even topping Dwight Howard.

I would take Drummond over Kyrie straight up. There, done. Move on.

its Irvings injury history that scares me more than anything.

Dres still raw, but a 2nd year guy putting up 13 and 13 on 60 percent from the field on a cluster**** of a team is still pretty impressive imo.

Why motivation would the Pistons possibly have to make that deal?

I just don't see how it makes the team any better in the present or future, and trading a franchise Center who looks like the second coming of Moses Malone, for a franchise PG who doesn't even really look like a PG anymore, just nothing to gain from that deal for the Pistons and potentially a lot to lose.

No, never trade big for small. Plus, why would we trade two starting caliber players who's completely health for Westbrook who's having injury issues lately?

i thought about this one a while. what if we moved smith, stuckey, and singler to the bobcats for MKG, ben gordon, and ramon sessions?

i know MKG would probably just as poor of a fit as smith, but that's the idea. we'd get to tank with a much more reasonable roster financially while not trading monroe for 50 cents on the dollar. also, we get a stud prospect with a relentless motor on a much cheaper contract than smith's. gordon and sessions are on expiring deals, so we'd still get loads of cap relief.

for better or for worse, we finally get to see what monroe and drummond can do together full time. if we decide monroe is a poor fit with drummond, we can move him in a sign & trade deal in the offseason for a player who better compliments the roster.

what do you guys think?

I'd make that deal. But I doubt Dumars would.

I hope you're joking, right? Westbrook is a top 10 player in this league, we'd be getting an absolute steal unless Westbrook falls off a cliff because of injuries, which I really doubt.

I love it for us. We get a defensive stopper at SF and dump Smith, without taking on any salary? Sure, our spacing would suck, but we're tanking! That's a fantastic deal for us. I don't think the Bobcats do it though, what motivation do they have to take Smith? They've invested in the PF position with Zeller and Biyombo. They're cheaper. Zeller isn't a dumb chucker, and Biz provides better rim protection.

No sir, I'm not joking at all. Westbrook's indeed a beast too!

Josh Smith and Datome (or we just buy him out after the trade) for Green and Bogans. Boston doesn't want Green anymore, and Bogans is on a bad contract (5mil per year for the next 3 years including this one). They pair Smith and Rondo, drop a bad contract and get rid of a player they don't want anymore. We drop Smith, get to keep Moose, and have a quality starting SF. Then we'd just have Jennings left to get rid of.

Of course you make that trade. That big for small thing is true but not when the small is a borderline superstar.

I had a similar sentiment on the previous page. I would do it even if we don't get our pick back. Charlotte gets better. We get worse. BG would have to go to a third team as there is no way he's coming back to Detroit.

Anyone who suggests trading Drummond gets shot in the face. Don't do it.

Using stats alone he might look like a top 5 center but he certainly is not. I'm not suggesting making the trade, I even said I wouldn't, just trying to start a discussion a little different from the normal bs around here. Christ!

What you think about this?

Detroit Pistons get: Ben Gordon, Josh Mcroberts, Mareese Speights (with some TPE from GSW)

Charlotte Bobcats get: Rodney Stuckey, Charlie Villanueva, Kent Bazemore

Golden State Warriors get: Ramon Sessions, Greg monroe

This is just my opinion though.

Yeah, a pick should be included. From the Bobcats?
