I hope you're joking, right? Westbrook is a top 10 player in this league, we'd be getting an absolute steal unless Westbrook falls off a cliff because of injuries, which I really doubt.

i know MKG would probably just as poor of a fit as smith, but that's the idea. we'd get to tank with a much more reasonable roster financially while not trading monroe for 50 cents on the dollar. also, we get a stud prospect with a relentless motor on a much cheaper contract than smith's. gordon and sessions are on expiring deals, so we'd still get loads of cap relief.
for better or for worse, we finally get to see what monroe and drummond can do together full time. if we decide monroe is a poor fit with drummond, we can move him in a sign & trade deal in the offseason for a player who better compliments the roster.
what do you guys think?
I love it for us. We get a defensive stopper at SF and dump Smith, without taking on any salary? Sure, our spacing would suck, but we're tanking! That's a fantastic deal for us. I don't think the Bobcats do it though, what motivation do they have to take Smith? They've invested in the PF position with Zeller and Biyombo. They're cheaper. Zeller isn't a dumb chucker, and Biz provides better rim protection.
