I think Turner is a great player, but if the Bobcats acquire him, like others have said, then they need to deal MKG and potentially force fit a shooter with their pick.
Or, they can just deal for AA and not worry about any of that. I think Orlando would listen if you start talking a 2014 draft choice.
MKG does not need to be traded if Turner comes in....Why does he HAVE to be traded? He can play the 3 and he can play the 2 if need be, and if they go small ball he could play the 4...Turner can play the 2 the 3 the 4 and even run the point at times....If you bring Turner in it becomes easier to part ways with MKG...Who is ONLY in his second year and is ONLY 20 years old....He has a ton of potential and he hasnt played horrible he just hasnt been spectacular...He and Turner may actually fit nice along side each other
Lets make it simple. Majority of sets occur in the half court. Of those sets, most plays are either screen and roll, isolation or post up. If you have 2 wings who can't shoot from the outside here's what happens. When Al Jefferson posts up, defensive team will simply double because they are not worried about an outside shooter there. Lets say off the double a wing gets the ball and penetrates, that's fine since defense can just send a help defender again not worried about another shooter.
This also applies to the pick and roll. Turner is a nice p and r wing, so lets take advantage of that and run some of those for him. Defender will likely shift back off pick and cover drive. If Turner or MKG cause a second help defender to come no problem for D because there's no shooter to worry about.
In short the lineup would be too slash heavy and would need far more shooting for proper spacing. A unit with those 2 can work in spurts just not consistently.
