Your history here is short: this board has actually affected the team in a couple instances. Juan Dixon cited an 'Amazingly Sucky' thread as inspiration for his 35 pt playoff game against the Bulls. Gilbert's dad intimated that he read the boards, referenced points made here. A few posters on here still maintain email dialogue with Ted. Others have collegial relationships with other front office members.
Yeah, I once talked to Gilbert's dad via phone and he told me directly that he read the board from time to time and relayed stuff to Gil.
Mo Almond and I are each 2/2 birthday guys. I've received an email from his pops. I am sure they're more than aware of the board.
I'm also pretty sure some NBA executives and media have pretty tight aliases. My reasons for brutal honesty are I just want the team better. EG and company would have been way better off following suggestion made years ago. They're certainly following this board now, IMO. I'm real emotion and quite often wrong when I emote. But the analysis I and others take the time to do is something IMO of a godsend for EG and Ted. They're fools to turn their nose up at great free advice.
Ted can emulate Paul Allen and the late Dr. Jerry Buss, as well as Marc Cuban. Even billionaire sports owners need mentors. Owners and GMs shouldn't just get high-character vets but themselves be above accountability. No player should ever become a pariah or scapegoat of INEPT management from the top down or from coach down. Garbage in, garbage out applies to all of us. If I choose unwisely, that's on me. Ted and Ernie are improving for sure but some of the disregard of the draft and the labeling of players is bush league.
The great news is Wall is playing max contract ball, even with missteps here and there. Wittman, regardless of all criticism, has the team at 23-23 with the talent on hand. About average, but starting 5 very solidly above that. The task at hand is to improve the bench and IMO improve encouragement from coach to young players. Seraphin and Vesely appear to be contributors not playing to their peak nor given opportunity to do so. Maynor's leash is constrictively choking him in the doghouse that he's in. They have to do something or let the guy play his way out of the doghouse if it means spelling Wall a minute earlier, with the starting 5 out there. Just my rant, 2 cents worth …. I hope they consider my motivation. Just like with the Seahawks, let every player prosper to the best of their game. Don't ram system and don't berate, castigate, subjugate … or any other Jesse Jackson rhyme meaning mistreat … players.
Positive vibes help the team win and players achieve their best.
