Knicks are "hoping against hope" to pull off trade for Rondo

I wonder what Rondos market is today....

Kinda small imo, as pretty much every team in the league has a starter quality point guard or someone else that handles that duty.

I was of belief earlier in the year the pacers could have flipped Grangers expiring contract with a draft pick for Rondo, and he's definitely an upgrade over George Hill.

Outside of that i'd say probably just us.

Game two vs Miami on the road 2012 ECF:

44 pts 8rbs, 10asst, 3stls, shot 66% 16/24 and 10 of 12 from the free throw line.... No player in NBA history put that line up...

Sure they would, I'm sure Miami would trade Chalmers for Rondo....but thats not really how it works though, it's not about the individual all the time but how and if they fit with that current team....but we'll find out soon enough because we'll hear the rumors.

That game from rondo was not a normal occurrence, and it certainly doesnt indicate his capability, although I will say Rondo does step up in the playoffs which is a great trait to have.

I think there are some teams out there that will give up at least 2 unprotected firsts for him...

Our edge could be that we can clear 19 million in 2015 for Boston....

That deal was bogus on all fronts....even as far as the pick goes they cant offer a draft pick for quite a while...

So we got:

1. team fit
2. Rondo has to approve it
3. Team must be able to clear 2015 salary
4. Talent and/picks need to be available to trade to Celtics

The main piece imo, Boston currently has no reason to deal with us....imo Rondo would have to pull a "Melo".

They have a ton of picks that they could package with a bad contract and move it themselves.

I think its more of "if the Celtics really want to deal rondo" if they do we have the pieces to get in done when you put it all in context...
