Boston doesn't need Lin and Beverly.
It is certainly a fair offer but I just don't really care for the HOU picks.

FWIW, cyberx was pretty sure they'd include Chandler if needed.

And that point, there'd be zero established quality guys for Boston, so it stands to reason that Parsons would be flipped as well?

Is that the supposed 'leak' tonight, maybe? That Rox willing to add in Parsons?

This is easy. Green either goes to Houston, or flipped to Cleveland for Deng. As far as Celtics. Asik is in the deal for our starting C, we have Sully for stating PF and Parson as starting SF.
That's a very good core for 3,4,5
Bradley/Lin is the backcourt for the rest of this year. Going forward? Marcus Smart maybe, Tyler Ennis,Shabazz Napier with a late first rounder. PGs can be had.
I would flip Bradley/Green to Cleveland for Waiters/Deng, send Deng to Houston with Rondo for Parsons, Asik, Lin and Picks.

Rondo
Jeff Green
for
Parsons
Lin
Asik
4th guy?
2 picks
It is a huge haul. That's a 17 ppg scorer in Parsons (possibly 20 ppg guy going forward), starting C in Asik and a starting guard/trade bait in Lin for right now. Add in the two picks, even late and it is a great deal.
As far as Houston, they do it because (and I know Rockets fans are reading to get our opinion) you have no idea how good Rajon Rondo is. No idea. People, especially those that look at numbers, don't get it.
Think about this --- why would Toronto and Sacremento, Lakers, Phoenix and the Knicks (desperately) try and go after this guy? Toronto, Sac-town aren't even close to contending. What do they want with Rondo?
The guy supercharges your offense, makes the game easier for your and is a star. He isn't a great scorer, so he needs tools to work with. But, he made KG, Pierce and Ray relevant later in their careers by making then work less.
He is a Jason Kidd, Magic like effect on a game. He isn't the scorer magic is, but has that level passing ability and can control a game.
The other reason?
Rondo isn't friends with LeBron. He isn't friends with cp3, Durant or Westbrook. He doesn't like those guys. He wants to beat them.
Rondo is the only guy that kept Spolestra up at night. Off all the teams this Miami Heat team has faced in their 3 year run, the only team that legitimately scared them half to death was that Rondo led effort in the ECF. It took LeBron's greatest game of his career to keep the heat alive.
Who brought that out? Rondo.
Don't look at his numbers in aggregate.
That said, if we don't get Parson, I am not interested. I think a Parson's-less package makes us worse in the long run than Rondo coming back. Rondo will re-sign in Boston. That's not an issue. We either get bowled over, or keep him.

Two quarters, two dimes for a nicked up Sacajawea dollar.

Yeah, no hate to the Rockets, but... no **** it, hate to the Rockets. Their fans driving me bananas with their inane homer nonsense. Talking all that **** and they wouldn't know winning basketball if it jumped up and bit them in the ass. Have won exactly one playoff series since the mid-90s, when they slipped through for a couple of watered-down rings while Jordan was off playing baseball. They doing OK right now, but let's be real... that team is softer than puppy ****. Howard is a huge wuss when the chips are down, as proven repeatedly. Harden, wuss. Parsons, wuss. Lin, wuss. For real.
If they want to go into battle with the current collection of sallies the have on that team, let them. I'll be over here with some crazy glue ready to put them back together when a team full of killers like the Thunder or Pacers rips them in half - which they absolutely will.
Don't need Rondo? Just want to watch Harden and your perimeter guys jack up contested threes while Howard curls up into the fetal position like he always does once the real season starts? Be my **** guest. The only thing we need from them in this deal is that lottery pick they don't even have yet.
And don't even get me started on their constant ball-waxing of Morey, who was basically Ainge's intern, for ****'s sake. See you when you never get there, homies.

Makes sense for Houston to pursue Boston's Rondo (and @ESPNSteinLine says Rox have interest) but I'm told the two teams have not spoken.
Could it be that all the rumors are being generated from one source? Clutchfan?
