He's right. But the rule exists and players and fans should be aware of it, even if it is excessively unfair, punishing teams far more harshly than what the transgression robbed their opposition of as the difference between a sure-fire goal and a PK is not a man advantage.
Robben wasn't getting to that after his first touch anyways. I wouldn't really call it a clear goalscoring opportunity. Less of one than when Boateng took down Özil anyway.
The real crime was the Nacho man letting that hideous man-baby crab his way straight down the center of our defence without tracking his run.
Tough game. Dominant to start, but game turned when Gibbs went off. Should have just put Flamini at LB and left out the Nacho man. Can't do much against that Bayern side with 10 men.
