What a BS statement. The Jays did a phenomenal job developing Syndergaard. To pretend that he turned into a top prospect under our watch because we simply told him to go out and throw fastballs is beyond insulting.
Maybe the way I phrased it could've been better. Syndergaard has always had excellent numbers, but I have yet to see any pitchers developing into anything more than useful thus far. The development of the lower minors doesn't seem to be the problem. Perhaps it's the AA/AAA development, or perhaps it's the fact we rush them as soon as they reach these levels that's the problem.
