Futuristic ballpark design - do you like this for TO?

I really don't get the unreasonable hate the dome gets. It's a pretty good baseball venue and far better than many others in the league I've been to (ie the horrible fenway park). Give us some real grass (which they're already planning) and we'll be good to go.

The dome is located excellently (literally could not be in a better location), and the roof is incredibly practical in toronto and has served us well over the years.

Location wise it's in the perfect place. The seats and on a nice day with the roof open it's not as bad.

Winning product and grass would obviously enhance the experience.

I find it aesthetically very drab and boring. Biggest thing that kind of gives it a depressing feeling is grey concrete everywhere and walking around. Just do something to brighten up the concourses and reduce the concrete, maybe some kind of brick look around the outside, and inside just some additional colour or something.

I don't mind the dome due to being able to avoid rain. I wouldn't enjoy going to a game when it's raining.

I live in Windsor so I go to comerica often. It is an absolutely beautiful ballpark. However I don't care how beautiful of a ball park it is its miserable through April and some of may due to weather. They have to play day games throughout April because it's too cold at night. So in Toronto you sort of have to becareful what you wish for. The dome isn't that asthetically pleasing but it is very practical for a city with weather like Toronto.

I never got any factual stats. Just guestimations at those answer my question forums. So it very well could be wrong.

because of inclement weather? they open the dome as much as possible during the season. despite playing outdoors being much better than indoors, it's just not practical to play in 8-15 degree weather in april or september when you have a retractable roof and can play or watch at a more comfortable climate. i can probably count on one hand the amount of games played indoors when the weather was decent enough the past couple years and even then it was debatable. just scroll through this twitter and see for yourself https://twitter.com/IstheDomeOpen . only reason it's been closed for a game was weather and playing in a soggy field with a waterlogged baseball sucks

I've been a couple times in the summer when the day was beautiful and they never opened it. But I don't go that often so perhaps it's a small sample size. Nonetheless, it's disappointing when the day is nice and they don't open it.

The past few seasons they have been opening the roof more often compared to seasons past. They tend to even take some chances on overcast days now.
