If Randle was a great athlete or a great shooter I could buy your argument. But right now he relies way too much on outmuscling college kids who will never sniff the NBA while getting an escort to the free throw line. Combine this with his short wingspan and difficulties finishing over length, and you have a red flag.
I agree that James Young should not enter the draft yet but his talent is clear. When he has one of his good games, like against Wichita, there are flashes of greatness. Is there something you saw when watching Young that indicates a bust?
Wait, Randle isn't a good athlete? I'm pretty sure he's freakishly athletic if he's able to yam over guys with his "short wingspan" that everyone brings up. And for some reason, people think assertive takes to the basket don't yield free throws in the NBA. He will still get to the line often in the pros.
James Young doesn't shoot very high percentages as the "sharp shooter" for UK. He's not terribly good at finishing in traffic. He's a very streaky player overall. I'm not interested in taking him right now, but if he stays another year and shows improvement, I'd listen.
