Exactly. Look at the good Grunfeld has done and not always focus on the bad. All of his moves were not necessarily terrible.

His defense good at least.

He took it to the basket a few times without much result but I would rather
see him do that than to mostly chuck long 2s. His shooting was off but his all
around game was reasonable. And at least he made his FTs.

The next time that kid shoots above 50% will be the first time

The difference with Beal compared to other talented young SG`s we had here, is that he contributes in many other areas aside from scoring. Even things that do not show up on the stat sheet, like solid down screens and back screens. I`m also more excited about his rebounding, and passing, than I am down on his poor shooting percentage and shot selection. His shooting seems to be all mental, and for some reason  it happens at home.

The biggest positive out of all of it is that he is only 20 and seems to have a good head on his shoulders. Although his body language is off putting, he still seems to be a relatively positive team player. Give him some time.

I think the best thing that can be said about EG is that he managed to salvage
more of a bad situation that he himself created than one might have expected.
The problem with that is that he has sacrificed future assets to do it and
is now counting on really old players going forward. Miller and Gooden are
getting him by right now. Gooden could leave and Miller is old as dirt. I would
say Miller is a danger to break down physically except that has not been his
history at all. He is a clear liability defensively though. That said, I think
Miller will help in the playoffs when we have to play half court. Better
roster building in the past wouldn't have made those deals necessary.

We know the story on EG. The history of record as GM is still what it is, 3rd worst
in the league during his tenure at least through this year. 45 win peak season.

Ariza looks to me like he might not be right for a while. Groin definitely hurting.

Man....... 90% of the time Wall drives to the basket, the refs seem to disregard the no handchecking rules and blink whenever he gets bumped. Its getting ridiculous. I still firmly believe that if our All-Star received the same calls that other All-Star scorers get when they are bumped going to the hoop, Wall's ppg averages would be 3 or 4 points higher.

Ted better investigate something to fix the condensation issue before we hit the playoffs too.

Good win for the Wizards.

Gooden for MVP (Most Vintage Player)?

Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

Wizards should be issued a compensatory draft pick by the league for having to play on dangerously slick hardwood at home...crap was ridiculous. Thank goodness no one was hurt seriously.

What an embarrassment that floor was tonight. That's always been the case in the spring when you play a hockey game during the day and a basketball game a night. It goes back to the Cap Centre days. Beal, Ariza and Webster could have had serious injuries.

Good win but I think what our team really needs is rest. Randy has ridden all the vets and forget whether Otto is ready (he's probably not), guys like Temple and Seraphin can help in spot minutes. I know Seraphin sucked his last game but he's not the guy you go to against smaller lineups.

Even though the Charlotte game is important to say the least, it may be more important to rest Ariza and see what Temple/Porter can do at the 3 spot. We will desperately need a healthy Ariza in the postseason. I'd love to see us clinch the 6th seed and then rest most of the starters that last 2 games. Wall looks spent, Beal and Webster have all sorts of issues and Gortat has a back issue. They could all use a little time off.

let's hope your statement isn't premature. Ariza could be sore for a while.

Seraphin has the type of body that could be put to good use defending Jefferson.
Which is not quite the same thing as saying I think he will do a good job if given the
chance. But maybe getting him the chance is a risk worth taking.

Was at the game. We started slow but got it going in the 2nd half.

Drew Gooden is our best player off the bench. How sad. Trevor Booker another bust draft pick by Ernie.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

I don't think Trevor is a bust. He is what is is at his draft slot. He's actually a rotation player.

Since Nene went down, Book hasn't done much. And he was pretty awful vs the Hawks.
I'd say Gooden should start but that's kinda a false distinction. Gooden finishes and
plays about as many minutes, if not more, so it's not that important. At such time
as Nene reappears to play, Book may have a hard time getting minutes.

Not to correct you in front of your people, but... Booker's been okay since Nenê went down. Not great, but...okay. Since Nenê got hurt, Booker's posted a PPA of 96 -- average is 100. He was AWFUL against Atlanta, but he also had a three-game stretch against Sacramento, Portland and the Lakers where he posted single-game PPA scores of 200 or higher. Which is terrific.

And keep in mind that he's been a low-minute starter with Nenê sidelined, which means he's playing basically the toughest minutes available.
