Signed,
Terrence Jones
Doron Lamb
Darius Miller
Josh Harrellson (btw, this guy is in the NBA because of Calipari. Seriously. He is a goon)
DeAndre Liggins
Alex Poythress
Willie Cauley Stein
All players who stuck around for a year or more. All in the NBA or draft prospects.
And to say that Calipari hasn't helped the Twins is a completely insane statement. The difference between the Harrisons at the beginning of the season and now is unbelievable, and I'm not saying this because of the game last night.
Insane? Poythress and Willie Caulie-Stein are on the bench right now, sitting behind Freshmen.
Insane was in reference to Calipari not improving the Harrison's game, which he very clearly did.
Calipari doesn't play freshmen just to do it. He plays the players that give us the best chance to win the game. In the case of WCS, he hasn't done a good job of giving him more minutes than Dakari. That isn't due to WCS being a sophomore, but rather WCS was in the dog house for playing like hot garbage in the middle of the season. Unfortunately, he is injured, but he was the most valuable player UK had on defense over the past 5 or 6 games.
Poythress doesn't play because he doesn't run the system on offense well. He has started to play better as the season progressed, but he's been pretty timid at driving to the basket. That's an issue in the Dribble-Drive offense. He's been much better as a player that comes off the bench and injects athleticism and energy on the boards.
Also, WCS was playing as many, if not more, minutes than Dakari was. Starting doesn't really mean anything if you're taken out after being on the court for 2 minutes.
