Cleanthony Early is a small forward. I think he can be like prime Caron Butler which was pretty good.

Early is a better shooter, but nowhere near the ball handler of Caron Butler. I don't think Butler is a good comp, but I can't think of a better one off the top of my head.

man UK with an incredible performance again...

Harrison balled, and Randle was impressive again.

i know he takes a lot of criticism, but if he's every taught how to harness his abilities, he's going to be a nightmare

i haven't seen a ton of Early, but his game kinda reminded me of Tobias Harris when i watched him...not sure why.

Hey. First time on the site here. As a big Sixers fan, I wanted to see the draft outlook. I see that everyone is high on Wiggins, but I think there's no way you pass up Embiid.

As a side, are the Sixers evaluating Nik Stauskas at all. This guy can flat out play. He's got size, can shoot and handle, and he should be able to defend a lot of players in the NBA. Another guy I really like is Jordan Adams from UCLA. Its ridiculous that some people have Adams as a pick in the mid 20s. Book it: he'll be a far better pro than Marcus Smart.

Anyhoo, just wanted to see your opinions. Why should I get excited if the Sixers take Wiggins?

I'm happy for the Harrison twins. They made themselves some money in this tournament, and Andrew will probably be better off, because he'll likely be drafted by a good team, that can develop him.

Neither player belongs in the NBA right now. They would both be better off staying at Kentucky and developing another year.

That play of LeVert on Julius Randle is one of the reasons why I'm skeptical of him at the next level. That's a 6-5ish guard with a 7'1 wingspan who doesn't weight much more than MCW using that athleticism and reach to deny a PF.

Like I said in another thread I'd love LeVert to come out and I'd spend the Pels pick on him easy. I see a lot of potential there for him in the NBA. If somehow the Sixers nabbed Wiggins with their first pick and then got LeVert.

Wiggins/LeVert/MCW... That's some big time defensive play out of your 1-2-3. Noel as a shot-blocker and alterer for the center position. Really would love that.

Pretty much why I was rooting for Michigan big time. I think anyone on Kentucky who's borderline to come out was going to come out whether Kentucky wins the 'ship or not. I think LeVert is likely to stay, but winning a 'ship may have helped foster a sense of completing something.

That kind of thing happens to Randle every game. It happens multiple times if he is guarded by someone 6'8 or taller. He can't get a clear shot up. He lofts the ball over longer players and hopes it dies on the rim and falls through. He could be a David Lee level player, but he isn't a go to player.

Mad props to those Kentucky kids -- proving me wrong game-after-game. They are **** fighters. Took down WSU, took down one of the favorites in Louisville, and then beat a very hot Michigan squad. Love the fire they play with.

I wonder if a guy like Mike D'antoni watches college basketball and thinks " what's this defense thing"?

Watching Randle in the tournament has shown me some very nice court vision, passing ability and a better handle than I realized he had. He will need to develop his jumper in the NBA, which I think he can do, and learn to play as a face up guy against taller, longer opponents, while retaining the ability to post guys of equal or lesser size. Has a nose for rebounding as we all knew and is a very good athlete for his size. I think he will be a very good NBA player, kind of like a taller, bigger Thad with better board skills and a more natural scorer. Not a shot blocker, but looks capable of eventually defending his position adequately or better.

The tournament has also confirmed that he is a second tier guy in this draft. I would group him with Smart, Vonleh and Gordon, each offering something different. Vonleh would be my choice if the Sixers end up picking from that group, but Randle, while far from a dominant player, will make some team in the 5-8 range very happy.

What do you guys think of LaVine? Seems like a good fit if we land Wiggins.

C: Noel
PF: Thad

LaVine could be a guy who rises due to great workouts. His potential is super high. Whether or not he reaches it is another thing but a lot of FOs get a bit scary w/ guys like him because they don't want to be the guy t o pass on him nor take him too high.

If the board falls the way I think it might, then he wouldn't be too bad of a pick at 12. It depends heavily on where we fall and who we take (we get shafted and fal lto 5 and dudes like Vonleh and Randle are best available then LavIne becomes intriguing since that would also mean we would unfortunately tank again.) If we get Wiggins or Parker, I think we go big with our pels pick (Pakrer maybe less so if you think he is a 4)

i think id pick Stauskas over Lavine if were looking for a wing.

also, in case you missed the WT.....Andrew Wiggins has officially declared for the NBA draft.
