If he was 6'4 and 220lbs and offered more then just being a bomb threat then fine. But at 5'9 and 170 lbs he is fragile. And besides his numbers this year will drop off dramatically with RG3 throwing the ball and with that offensive line. Chip made him look better then what he is. When you have the best RB in the league teams played up in the box to stop the running game. Teams desperately tried taking McCoy away. With that DeSean excelled. LeSean was more feared then DeSean.

I'd say his contract was pretty fair for what he brought... and it's not like that money is going to be going anywhere else this year. He's a guy that has incredible speed that converts on big plays and creates space for the other guys on the field.

Bottom line, we are a better football team with him on the field than without him. I don't think the offense is going to go in a tailspin or anything, but you're taking away a pretty big weapon, handing him to a division rival, and getting nothing back in return.

He was the 5th highest paid receiver this year before he was released. No way deserving this much compared to the elite receivers. He isn't elite. But I am sure the Eagles will draft another player and also utilize Sproles in the slot that will cause even more mismatches in the secondary . Also Zach Ertz will be a pro bowl TE in the near future. DeSean is now currently the 14th highest paid receiver under his new contract.

I think nothing else needs to be said after this. Good riddance.

Jackson is 5'9 175 pounds soaking wet. In this league that frame is not going to hold. One knockout shot and this guys career is over. Hes a punk, idk if hes going to last vs the seahawks, he isn't going down the middle thats all i know, one shot from kam chancellor and his season is over.

A lot of the WR prospects making visits to the Novacare complex and Kelly has been a mainstay at there pro-days as well.

Just wondering, anyone know ANYTHING about ifeanyi momah? I'm kind of intrigued since he's freak'n 6 foot 7 haha. He probably cant run routes, otherwise he'd be talked about alongside Kelvin Benjamin I suppose. Wonder if Chip can convert this guy into a TE or something...

Momah stinks and is never healthy. He won't make the final 53. Maclin, Cooper, Benn, Johnson, Smith, and Maehl are ahead of him on the depth chart. Plus a rookie they will likely draft.

Momah is still aways away. Massive project player and the only thing going for him is his size.

i don't think the offense is going to miss a beat without jackson. Ertz is going to step up big time, whatever wideout we add in the draft is going to be better than whatever was left of jason avant, and i would rather rely on jeremy maclin moving the chains then big play wonder desean jackson.

Anyways they better not draft a wideout in the 1st round, thats letting the decision to let jackson go affect the eagles. Draft some defensive players 1st before getitng to a wideout.

I love how eagles related draft rumors have been popping out recently.

1. Dion Jordan for Brandon Graham and our 2nd was declined by Mia, but would apparently trade him straight up for our 22nd overall pick. I personally wouldn't mind that since we need a pass rusher, and Chip Kelly really knows how to use him since Dion dominated under Chip. It's like trading a 22nd overall pick for a 3rd overall pick, IMO.

2. Eagles are so smitten with Mike Evans, that we might TRADE UP for him. Idk what assets we'd use to do so, but having HUGE targets like Ertz, Evans and Cooper (ok, not too big but 6'2 is above avg), with Maclin stretching the field. Woah.

Exciting time to be an Eagles fan, not to mention the NBA draft lottery is like 2-3 weeks away from the NFL draft.

We could, it would just take us giving up too much for him. And I don't see the need of moving up for a receiver when it's the deepest position in the draft. I think we can trade back and still walk away with a high quality receiver in the 2nd or maybe 3rd round.

Getting more picks should be a priority for Howie on draft day IMO.

He's gonna go at 10 at worst. Likely 7. Even if someone in top 10 wanted to trade back that far it would take a crazy amount to do so. You can trade to any pick in theory but there's no chance it actually happens

Oh I agree. If Chip really wants him though, it could happen. I don't believe it will though.

To get in the top 10 the Eagles would have to trade next years first for him.

If he was going to be an elite receiver in this league, he would be worth it. Julie jones I think was worth 2 first rounders.

I'm not in love enough with Evans to give up what it would take to get him. We just have too many needs and Evans doesn't complete the roster by himself. Now if he fell to us I'd be very happy.

This draft is deep at WR, I'm not in love with trading up for one. Just stay at 22 and pick Lee, Beckham, or Cooks if you want.
