As weird as it sounds now, as long as Nene stays healthy, I have a hard time seeing the Wizards lose this series. The talent gap appears too wide. Even going 7 games seems unlikely. If the Wizards are going to play defense like they did for the final 18 minutes in the 2nd half yesterday, they could end this series in 5.
What worries me is what's going to happen when Nene and Gortat aren't playing as efficiently offensively.
Are Wall and Beal in particular going to be able to pick up the slack?
We saw what happened when Wall tried to press the issue. He started the game playing extremely disciplined, but his quick jumpers and careless turnovers got the Bulls out on the break scoring easy buckets.
This loss was a set back for the Bulls, but I doubt that Chicago is going to change anything about their approach.
They will continue to give Nene those midrange jumpers, key on the corner threes and pack the paint to limit Wall's effectiveness.
The other thing that worries me in this series is Booker. He's completely overmatched against Boozer, and doesn't match Gibson intensity and athleticism on the defensive end.
If Washington's offensive efficiency takes a hit, I'm worried that those secondary scoring opportunities the Bulls managed to get against us are going to be the difference in the game.
