yea....lol, no.
when people say this. Other people usually get uncomfortable.
everybody is racialized in this country...everybody has to deal with race and color....not everybody is a racist in someway.
Affirmative action = racism. stereotyping = racism.
Whether a remark* is good or bad, it is still racism. I'm asian, i have an asian superiority complex when it comes to intellect... it's actually racist for me to think that Asians will always be the smart ones of the world. Black people will most likely be the most athletic race in the world, that's racist. White people are probably always going to be the richest in the world, that's racist. Asian people have small penises, that's racist.
like i said, whether it be good or bad, everyone's a racist in some way.
edit:
like i said, i don't condone how he feels.
To me, these assumptions fit more into the stereotype rather than racism itself. Stereotypes are labels we as society place on people of certain races in the form of assumptions.
For Instance:
All Mexicans can't drive based on how much damage is on their cars or how hard they are on cars.
All Blacks who where hoodies are thugs looking for trouble.
All Whites are consider rich and living in the best houses money can buy.
All Jewish own and control the media and entertainment industry.
All Muslims take about jihads against Americans every five minutes.
These to me are examples of stereotypes in today's society.
On a personal note as an African American, it's continues to be insulting and callous that we continue to live in a world where racism continues to poison the mindset of others. To think that someone of another race is inferior or don't deserve the right to equality as the next person. It's asinine and insane that some of us in the human race will not look beyond skin color and what neighborhood we live in or where we're from. That bulls**t don't matter. What matters is what our characterisitcs say about us? What our actions say about us? What our work ethic say about us? What our human history say about us? We as human beings have to do a better job to get beyond our differences and find solutions to end the ongoing poison known as racism.
To the Clippers fans here: I'm sorry that you guys are going through this tumultuous controversy. If I'm the players on the Clippers. Don't play for the Clippers. Play for Team Unity, Play to overcome ignorance, play for your fans. To the fans, cheer for Team Unity, cheer for racial equality, cheer for your team so f**kin loud that hate gets blown out of the STAPLES Center.
