I know you meant that somewhat facetiously. But having a physical advantage over your opponent is meaningful. Having a five inch wing advantage over a similar player means a lot. Wingspan is as important as height. When its height its never a question. People get that.
Yea i was being facetious with my comment....I know Wingspan and physical advantages are meaningful.
Actually using those advantages in games is another story tho.
I have some serious concerns on Young's defense....his effort was poor, his instincts were poor,his understanding on defense was poor,he didn't rack up steals or blocks and overall was a pretty poor defender.
I know he has the physical tools to technically be a good defender, but so do Nick Young,JR Smith and Jamal Crawford....depending on who we take with our 1st pick would determine my level of interest in Young.
I think theres a decent amount of wing depth in this draft...not sure id spend a top 10 pick on a one way, volume shot, offensive player like Young, who despite having "upside" doesn't do much THAT much better than a majority of the other perimeter prospects in the same range.
