Not sure about the validity of "Baller Alert", but in general I don't pay news from IB Times much mind. The guy literally calls the source "Baller Alert" in one paragraph and "Baller Mail" in the next. This would hold a lot more weight coming from a TMZ (which honestly blows my mind to say, but is the reality at this point).
I would also like to take this opportunity to blast this site and this particular writer, who has pumped out some serious garbage over this season, relating to the Bulls.
http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/533788/2 ... 2nNOfkVo8k - Author takes Chad Ford's statement that Bulls could trade Hinrich, Noah, or Boozer then writes a headline that they'll "likely" trade all three. Bonus points for spelling Hinrich's name wrong.
http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/535621/2 ... 2nNVvkVo8k - This one is just a grammar nightmare, not sure where to start. Oh wait yes I do. The title says "Bulls Trade Rumors: Carlos Boozer For Eric Gordon Trade Is A Must Done Deal For Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Pelicans". Bonus points for spelling Gar Forman's name wrong, along with Hinrich's...again.
http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/536257/2 ... 2nNV_kVo8k - The title of this article : Blockbuster Trade Involving Derrick Rose Will Make Chicago Championship Contender Next Season. What ensues is a truly compelling article that involves not one actual trade idea. It does have this great quote though. "The Bulls, who remain a tough playoff contender despite losing Rose and dealing away Luol Deng, could pull off the most shocking but probably effective coup in franchise history by trading Rose either before the Feb 20 trade deadline or this coming summer." Truly amazing that they know that such a trade would be an effective coup without any idea of what such a trade would entail.
http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/549946/2 ... 2nNafkVo8k - Same premise as last article, while taking more time to blast Rose for being selfish (brings up Rose going on a bike tour in DC), and a bad player. The author then gets the guts to go where he couldn't before and busts out something of a trade proposal. According to him, we could trade the apparent carcass of a Rose for Kevin Love or Russell Westbrook (if we are as he says, "bold enough").
So yeah until I hear it from somewhere else this is nothing to me. If it turns out to be real news, I still don't regret using this opportunity to vent.
