LeBron to Toronto is not happening on so many levels, I don't even know where to begin.
His team is dismantling the Brooklyn Nets so he's gonna think to himself, "Yeah, I want to go to a team that blew game 1 on their home floor and got down 20 to these creaky, overrated has-beens with a game 7 on their home floor."
He's 30. At his age, does he want to waste two or three years of his prime mentoring a young team and showing them how to win, or does he want to play with established vets and make runs at championships every year, challenge MJ's 6?
His wife has some juice bar business in Miami and they have a family, why would they want to leave that behind and uproot the kids for a freezing winter and a foreign country that gets more viewers for a hockey game between the Winnipeg Jets and the Minnesota Wild than the Raptors?
The guy has a huge ego, he loves the spotlight and media coverage, and he'll never get as much in Toronto as he could as in the States, it's just a fact, deal with it.
I'm born-and-bred Torontonian and a huge Raptors fan since the days of the immortal Sharone Wright, Oliver Miller and Reggie Slater, so I'm not hating on the team or the market or anything, but come on, move on and get real, people. Let's re-sign Lowry, focus on getting some good backup center that can block shots and make a run at Deng or something.
LeBron James ain't walking through that door.
