Having "Trade Value" doesn't mean he has to be traded. Josh Smith has to be traded. But, if the right deal comes along, Monroe could be traded. But, if there is no deal of equal or better value on the table, keep what you got and be patient until a great deal comes long.

Yeah I understand you have to be patient and get back the right value and not let him go for scraps. But I think we are better going forward not maxing out two centers. while Dre is worth that kind of deal, Monroe is not.

Piston will not make a panic trade. If that means keeping Smith and Monroe for another year or two, they WILL keep them both until the right time to make a change happens. But, you don't make a trade for the sake of making a trade. Pistons are in too good of financial position to do that.

& mentioning team defense is laughable when there is no defensive talent or scheme. Brandon Jennings, Josh Smith & Kyle Singler being absolute hot garbage on defense last year along with Mo Cheeks mickey mouse scheme should take a good chunk of the blame for Monroe & Drummond's defensive failures.

Yes he is. He's not only a worse defender but he Monroe is also less healthy than Lee. Well, at least for the purposes of Q00's point. Giving Monroe $60 million will be equal to giving Lee $80 million of course.
