Yeah I understand you have to be patient and get back the right value and not let him go for scraps. But I think we are better going forward not maxing out two centers. while Dre is worth that kind of deal, Monroe is not.
Piston will not make a panic trade. If that means keeping Smith and Monroe for another year or two, they WILL keep them both until the right time to make a change happens. But, you don't make a trade for the sake of making a trade. Pistons are in too good of financial position to do that.
Ive already said numerous times you dont make a panic trade.
