chad ford seems to think you guys could take exum, what do you think the likelihood is?

i don't see cleveland picking embiid, i think they want someone more ready to contribute

if embiid is at 2 do the bucks take him?
aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

If Embiid is at 2 and there isn't really bad news about his back we'll take him. Outside of that we have new guys running the show so we aren't likely to get any accurate info.

Are the Magic that high on Exum that if we keep blowing smoke about him, they'd be willing to part with 4/12 in a trade for 2? (and other parts obviously)

Wiggins will go #1 NO DOUBT OF THAT -This thing where people say " if Embiid's back checks out" those arent things you can predict. He is the wild card, I thnk it could be Parker or outside chance even of Exum if he looks real good in the workouts. Embiid is boom or bust. Is it worth the risk?

This is the worry I have with Parker. Not quick enough to play SF and not big enough to play PF.

This video breaks down Parker vs NBA length. He struggles big time in the post against NBA length and athleticism.

Sounds like what people said about Tobes. Now he's doing offseason training against Melo and more than holding his own.

I think they want us to take Exum so they are left with Wiggins/Parker.

Not only is there a doubt of that, it is actually more likely than not that he doesn't go #1, and possibly not even #2. Embiid is easily the best prospect in the draft, and if the medicals don't show chronic issues, he is the strong odds-on favorite to go #1. I would love it if Wiggins went #1. It would give the Bucks the choice of my top 2, and hopefully Embiid would be the pick.

So therefor I shouldn't worry? Yeah...still worried. This is a pick that needs to net a superstar.

They also have videos that show Wiggins struggling against Smart and Embiid struggling against NBA caliber bigs. All of these videos should be taken with a huge grain of salt because they are a small snapshot of a 19 year old kid playing basketball. None of these guys are any where near where they are going to be.

Well 3 weeks away...

At this point I think we're leaning Parker or Embiid, with Wiggins not far behind and Exum being the sleeper.

I just get the feeling that there is no superstar n this draft. Wiggins has just as big of flaws as Parker.

I don't agree. As I see Wiggins as a pretty good defender already and I don't feel the same about Parker. Embiid is a bit more of a work in progress but he will absolutely become a good defender in the NBA IMO. This highlights my concerns with Parker.

Perhaps. There is no question that I fear we miss on a superstar. That's the ultimate worry.

I think there is at least 1 superstar in this draft. I am not sold its the 3/4 players we talk about everyday here. I fear we select the consensus players over the Chris Paul (from our last swing at this) in this draft.

I continue to maintain that superstars are almost always a good defender. I don't see Parker ever being a good defender. Therefor I fear he would be just a Big Dog if you will and that would suck.

I was one of the few who wanted CP at that time. The last player I thought who was going to be a superstar was Durant. The only player I think who has a chance is Exum, but very iffy at best. There is no top guy.

I hear you, and I still remain in the camp that will be happy with any of the three. In Parker's defense though he is the only one of the three guys that has a absolutely discernible skill that immediately transfers to the NBA, a step-back jumper. I don't know if he will ever become a reliable defender but I'm pretty confident he will put up 20 a game. Wiggins has a decent stroke, but for all of his athleticism he did not finish well at the rim in the half-court, he's a shaky ball-handler, and he has no real refined offensive skills.

Embiid is my first pick but I would be thrilled with either Wiggins or Parker at 2. One has the potential to be a great defender, but he could also become Gerald Green. The other could end up being another Glenn Robinson. They both have their weaknesses and I feel like people are trying too hard to talk themselves out of one in favor of the other.

I think the only shot at a top ten player in this draft is a healthy Embiid. In fact I think a healthy Embiid is practically a lock to be a top ten player in today's NBA. He has the chance to be that Ewing/Olajuwon type big man and there just isn't a guy like that in the NBA right now.
