Since we are on the topic of Giannis, one thing Woelfel said in his interview Friday with Bill Michaels stuck with me.

Michaels asks "will Giannis ever be a star?" Woelfel replies "I don't think so." His reason was that he asked one Bucks player if Giannis can ever be a 20 ppg scorer. The Bucks player replied "If he can't score in practice, how can you expect him to do it in a game?"

So for Woelfel, if ppgz aren't instantly there, your potential is capped. Yet he's all over Knight's jock because he averges 17 per game.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

I pray to every deity nightly that Woeful is fired. A total hack who has less sources than Chris Broussard.

Do we think it's impossible that the Bucks would trade up for Embiid?

I wonder if we have him a notch above Parker / Wiggins.

I believe they do, but I don't think we can trade with Cleveland without losing out on a lot of assets that we can't afford to lose.

If we think Embiid is our best shot at a superstar I hope we are aggressive to try and make that happen.

I don't care so much about our assets in comparison to that.

Maybe the Cavs would want a Knight for Waiters swap?

If keeping Kyrie happy before trying to extend him in a playoff push season that might be enticing for them.

Perhaps something like #2 / Knight / Henson / Mayo for #1 / Waiters / Jack.

Or we could swap Sanders in there for Mayo / Henson if the Cavs prefer him.

I think Cleveland would demand something more like #2/Knight/Henson/Giannis(or future 1st round picks.)

Giannis or a future 1st would be a bridge too far for me.

Maybe would include one of our better 2nd rounders.

But I'm hoping that we are so high on Wiggins / Parker being potential superstars that this ends up not being something we look at.

Or maybe the Cavs are dumb enough to pass on Embiid for more short term game.

I definitely see where you're going with it, but I just don't think Cleveland would want all of our trash. Not only did most of those guys play terrible, but they're all in contract limbo, deciding on to pay Knight or not, Henson the same dilemma, Mayo eating half his salary and still making 4mil a year.

So many things hilariously stupid in those quotes it is hard to know where to begin:

-Does Giannis actually ever get the ball passed to him in Practice? Hard to score without the Ball

-Even if he is, "OMG a 19 year old is not scoring at will in Practice, better trade him LOL"

-Wonder if he ever thought Bill Russell or Rodman were stars.

I could see the Cavs taking #2 and Sanders for #1. They get their starting center and possibly the next big thing in Wiggins or Parker.

I wouldn't be upset with Parker, but Wiggins is easily #1 for me, even ahead of Embiid.

It's been apparent since early last season that Woelfel has a grudge against Giannis. I'm guessing it has something to do with Racine's Finest losing his starting job.

I could see the Cavs believing Mayo would be a buy low guy who could turn it back on in his hometown.

But even if they don't want the likes of OJ, Ilyasova and even Sanders, we still have Knight / Henson / 2nd rounders which certainly could be valued in combination.

Knight in particular might be desired if the Cavs are about to jettison Waiters to appease Kyrie.

And who do you think that "Bucks" player happened to be? It sounds like something that would've come from the mouth of Caron last year during or after his hissy fit. I could see Knight talking like that, being Woelfel's darling and a player that didn't seem to have great chemistry with Gianni.

Whoever's already saying stuff like that about Giannis, that player can just go as far as I'm concerned. Don't need that sort of attitude around the organization, about a player that's displayed the potential to do all kinds of things on the floor, including scoring.

Those words come across like they were spoken bitterly, with envy. It really would be best if that came from Caron.

It sounds more like something Gary Neal would have said. He was really bitter when he was here, is all about trying to score, and in spite of watching only a small percentage of Bucks' action last year several times I saw him critiquing Giannis' decisions as if he was a team player and authority on basketball rather than a selfish basketball stooge.

I think Caron is a better guy than that to throw an unassuming 18-year old under the bus because he got some p.t. over the veteran. He was more annoyed at the franchise, which he and everyone else had a right to be. But I get the Gery-Caron Racine connection deduction. It's plausible, but would be out of character. More likely than that would be Gery just making it up like he seems to do on a lot of subjects.
