More or less implies that they produce less than Monroe too. Don't forget that. So far, I actually made a list of Gortat and Tiago for you since you couldn't come up with any feasible list. Don't nitpick that part and not acknowledge the others in my post. Bigmen get paid, period. That's real cognitive dissonance.
Actually, scratch off Gortat, since no one knows what he'll command.
I still haven't seen your list that is comparable to Monroe and at half the cost as your implies in your post in the first page. Go for it. You won't find it kiddo.
There were 16(!) bigs this year who made around half of the 15 mil/yr that Monroe is commanding (or less), who are just as good as Monroe.
If you need to see 8 more examples to be convinced, then you're a lost cause and I'm not wasting more time with you here. Its pretty obvious to me based on this list what bigs like Monroe have getting paid by other teams around the league over the last few years. And pretty easy to see he's not worth 15 mil/yr when not one guy on that list made more than 9 mil/yr (40% less than Monroe is commanding).
That's not even counting all the bigs on rookie contracts who are just as good like Sullinger, Faried, Tristan Thompson, Markieff Morris, etc who aren't expected to be getting any max contracts in FA when their contracts are up.
Stop overvaluing Monroe. And I see you still don't know what cognitive dissonance means.
Atlanta - Millsap (9 mil/yr)
Chicago - Gibson (8 mil/yr)
Cleveland - Varejao (9 mil/yr)
Indiana - Scola (5 mil/yr)
L.A Lakers - Jordan Hill (4 mil/yr)
Milwaukee - Ilyasova (8 mil/yr)
New Orleans - Anderson (8 mil/yr), Asik (8 mil/yr)
New York - Dalembert (4 mil/yr)
Philly - Thad Young (8 mil/yr)
Phoenix - Frye (6 mil/yr)
Portland - Lopez (5 mil/yr)
San Antonio - Splitter (8 mil/yr), Diaw (4 mil/yr)
Toronto - Amir (7 mil/yr)
Washington - Gortat (7 mil/yr)
That list tho
