Being a HC in no way relates to it? Being such a great cerebral player doesn't give him any insight into the game of basketball?
Has kidd ever worked a trade deadline fetching offers and making offers?
He's sat in on two drafts, one draft in 2013 where he couldn't of done any previous work since he was hired 10 days before the draft.
He's never hired a HC or GM
Does he actually know how to scout draft prospects and how they project?
What he has done is piss off his current organization enough that they want him to leave, and he can't even do that quietly without everyone knowing it. Oh yea he also pissed off his top assistant enough to banish him from the team, oh ya after he gave Frank a 6 year deal for a freaking assistant.

We all do it here on RealGM every draft and trade deadline, doesn't seem to hard. We all seem to value our opinions on those matters despite having no qualifications. Who would you rather have negotiate a trade, John Hammond, Herb Kohl, or Jason Kidd? I imagine this is where "having balls" comes most in play. Not being a push over is a huge plus in my book. Lets not pretend like Kidd is going to running this entire team completely solo either.
We all give our opinion as fans and enjoy the discussion as being avid fans, but lets not confuse this with running an organization.
No 4th option? it's like asking who you want running your portfolio the kid next door taking a college econ class or brenie madolf.
And when your dealing with 29 other organizations, its good to be the jackass in the room.
