the on and off-court failures, and jabari parker proving to not be an all-star caliber player but jsut a solid pro, would then precede a move to seattle where they can reset all over again.
that's the worst-case scenario.
and John Hammond is what?
Your constant bringing up of Hammond is a strawman.
Almost nobody wants to see Hammond remain as GM.
What they do want instead is Hammond replaced by someone with actual experience scouting young college and overseas basketball players. With experience working in an NBA front office of a well run team vs a name who has zero experience doing these things. That's it.
Nobody impacts the fortunes of any professional sports franchise like the guy who assembles the rosters. The fact you support handing those keys over to a guy who has never scouted young players or worked for years in an actual NBA front office is insanity to most here. More times than not in professional sports history when teams have hired big name former players with little to no front office experience, it ends up badly.
Hell, you post on the Packers board. Just look at Packers history of hiring prominent athletes or inexperienced coaches to to run football operations vs when they hired long time scouts to become GM.
