Nah if Melo stays in New York, no doubt he gets paid significantly more paper to stay then he would have gotten in Chicago. I have no issues with that, and I'm NOT getting angry and despondent over it.

Bulls will have to roll with McNuggets, Mirotic, whatever FA left (Gasol, Stephenson), and the shadow of Boozer's scream as their significant moves this offseason.

*Edit* I forgot the Not part there.

Why is everyone overreacting! It's just speculation right now. Melo hasn't officially agreed with anyone yet.

The Lakers and the Knicks are meeting Melo. Thats it.

I was afraid to say that outloud.

In three years Lance and Mirotic may be better and cheaper than Melo. Not to mention keeping Buckets and Taj for sure.

I thought about making a separate thread on this but what the hell. Let it die on page 80 something of thread 14:

If the Bulls don't get Melo, that's disappointing but not the end of the world. I didn't expect it. For the love of all that is good and holy though, can we drop the whole "flexibility" thing? Please? Can we just try to put the best team possible on the court now? No maneuvering for capspace that will amount to nothing. No dumping players for assets that won't be used. I don't want the Bulls to trade future firsts for bad players or take on awful contracts. They don't have to be Brooklyn stupid.

Just: Let's try to put the best team we can on the court.

I just don't ever want to see another Bulls team where most of the money on the roster is going to people who are there for the sake of "future flexibility".

Carmelo Anthony will be a Chicago Bull for the next 6-7 years!!!! It will happen!!! He's waiting for the weekend....until the Holiday is over......then BOOM.....Sunday Melo tells the world he's coming to chicago!!!!
