Yeah, after this and that "Bulls won't trade Deng for Bynum" article, I'm not going to listen to what KC has to say. On top of that last summer he said Bulls wouldn't use the mmle and then days later signed Dunleavy with it.

To be fair it was reported Melo wanted Taj here, so GarPax didnt really have a choice in that.

15 threads worth of this has finally taken it's toll on me. Although I still don't buy into all of the Twitter stuff and my cousin's friend's uncle non sense, I would be lying if I said that I was as optimistic today as I was yesterday. However, Woj says we are still in the running and he is the guy that seems to get it right with a fair amount of consistency.

So with that said, if Melo comes he comes. If he doesn't, then we go to work on building as thick of a team as we can and let it play out. One thing is for certain, if he goes back to NY, I am fairly certain that he will regret it (from a career perspective) for a long long time.

I believe this as well. And thats gonna be really sad to see him stuck in that situation

Meh. All these entertainers (athletes, singers, actors etc.) need to take a step back and realize that they're lucky as hell to be making this kind of money, and that 99% of the world don't have 1/20th of what they have.

Honestly, Melo had a chance to write his name in the records book with a championship. Take 15 mil. The kids graduating from prestigious universities like Harvard, Penn, and Stanford can't even fathom making 15 mil in a year. It's crazy how much money these guys need to feel secure.

Id like to think most players would like to win a championship and seeing one fumble the best shot of doing so for money is a sad thing. Whether he'll be worth 200 mil or not

so does this mean that we will actually get Melo? Because as you said, after he said Deng for Bynum won't happen and Dunleavy won't be signed, it actually happened.

I have always been the type of person that would rather not have to get to a certain point in my life or career and have to always wonder "what if". So If I'm Melo, I'd be looking at things from that very perspective. Like, what if I would have taken less money to go to a winner. Either I'm going to be less rich and fall short, or be less rich and have a legacy as a champion. If he stays in NY, sure, he knows he'll be richer than he is now. But if he doesn't win there (and all indications is that he probably wont), then he will have to sit back and wonder what his legacy would be had he just taken less.
