I just don't understand this. If you're going to blame anyone for this, blame Henderson and MKG for not being good enough ball handlers. It's not McRoberts fault that as a power forward he is the second best ball handler in our starting lineup. And don't blame Clifford for using McRoberts' as a secondary ball handler. You may prefer a more traditional set with the guards handling the ball and the bigs playing down low, and I bet Clifford prefers that too. But last year, McRoberts was the best secondary ball handler we had, so don't blame Clifford for putting the ball in his hands.
So don't blame McRoberts for this. Blame Gerald Henderson. Or blame Cho for not bringing in a starting 2 guard who can be a secondary ball handler.
My biggest issue is that we are taking the ball out of Kembas hands to run the offense though Mcbob. Now that's not his problem that's a Clifford issue and If we need another ball handling so be it but running our offense though Mcbob only to have him give us 8.5 and 5 for 30mins played We can do better.
My biggest relief is the loss of McRoberts forces Cho to address the fact that neither Henderson nor MKG can initiate real offense for a playoff team. McRoberts was definitely a crutch for Cho and thus became a crutch for Clifford. Cho needs to supply the tools now and the pressure ticked up for him. Hairston is all he came up with for offense (hopefully not federal offense) from traditionally high offense positions.
