It'll be interesting if/when we learn what John tried to do vs. what got done. Last year it was reported he tried and failed on Kyle Korver, Tony Allen, Chase Budinger & Jeff Teague in some order before settling for OJ Mayo,Zaza, Delifino & Brandon Knight. Love to know how hard he want after Lin/Vasquez/Bledsoe and what the new backup plan is.

Eh, just sign Sessions to back up Wolters and tell him to go back to playing as he did as a rookie.

Let Free Agency play out as it will.. and sign a vet to a 1 year, vet min deal to back up nate.
No need to be going out there and giving guys 3 years or something silly.
Vet min or close... and keep it under the radar. Worse comes to worse Knight plays a little point (bound to happen anyways). Heck.. Jordan Taylor anyone? Why not.

While Houston is dealing with Parsons and Bosh/Deng/whoever and the Lin trade we should be signing Troy Daniels to an offer and make their life difficult, maybe they let him slide if we go a little high on the offer.

If we want to build our future with Giannis, Sanders and Parker, Emmanuel Mudiay can be the player we lack to elevate to another level.
But the problem is if we keep this team intact I fail to see how we are getting a top 4 pick. This team will not be that bad. 5-7 maybe if tons of things go bad. Wouldn't that be nice? My guess is we'd be picking in the 8-10 range at best.

I was actually a member here since 2003 (NotoriousTJ11) but lost all my log in and registration info so it seemed easiest to just create a new account. But thanks anyways! It's great to feel excited about this team again

I would rather take a chance and roll with what we have. If we improve to the level you are talking about that means that the rookies are making an impact. I do not have the faith that many have here in the likes of Mayo, Ersan, Knight or even Sanders. Just make sure that the rookies get plenty of playing time. I just don't want a 30 win team. I think its funny that for so long people wanted to build from with in the draft. Now they think we are just one player from 40 wins?Chapter29 wrote:Pedro Alexandre wrote:I really hope the Bucks do not make a move this offseason.

I think the thing here is, we are one 24 year old away from a 35-40 win team with a core of two 19 year olds, a 24 year old, and a 25 year old. Totally different situation than striving for 40 wins with a core of players basically at their prime or past it (Bogut, Kurt Thomas, Delfino, Dunleavy, Bobby Simmons, Maggette, Rich Jefferson, etc. etc. you get the picture). If we can win 40 with our current roster+Bledsoe next year I'll be ecstatic because that core can only get better. Much better. Then when they're all 26-29, we sign our Ray Allen or Vince Carter-type player (someone in the twilight of their career chasing rings)

I think a healthy Sanders and Parker gets you 15 wins. That's 30 right there, any wins after that is all up to Jason kidd and how he coaches

I don't understand why so many people have apparently given up on Wolters.

Re: Bucks looking at Lin, Bledsoe and Vasquez
The big question is my mind is whether Kidd starts out with Knight or Wolters at point guard. The ticket rep I talked to yesterday at the event seemed to think that Knight is the guy at point guard and that everything will come into focus for Knight under Kidd's coaching. I'd like to believe but...doesn't seem likely.
Event seemed lightly attended, but was a fun road trip for my son and I. Bango and cheerleaders were there but no players or Bucks' officials (that I saw). Didn't bite on the season or half season, but did put down deposit for one of the small packages. Looking forward to seeing some more games live this year.

"Our goal is to become a championship team," Kidd said.

Yeah, I'd be fine going with him as our starter for this year if we miss out on Bledsoe. No need to bring Sessions back or go after another vet.

I just don't think we get 40 with just the addition of Bledsoe and two 19 year old rookies. That where we differ. Don't get me wrong, but if we get Bledsoe I would be totally fine with it.MidnightBuck wrote:msiris wrote:I would rather take a chance and roll with what we have. To me this just sounds like Philly wants a kings ransom to take on Lins contract and Hammond would be fine just taking Lin with no extra incentive.

I'm guessing Philly upped their demands after Dallas signed Parsons to an offer sheet.
