Its a slight overpay on a yearly basis but its only 2 years. Its not the best deal in the world, but we aren't going to knock every deal out of the ball park. He fits a need on our club.

Nobody was gonna give this bum more than 2 years unless it was at 3M or 4M at year. Ain't nothing slight about this overpay.

As I've already pointed out, the Heat and Spurs have at least courted him this offseason.

He'll be the best backup SF we've had in a long time, if ever, and also provide valuable experience at PF.

This is exactly the type of under the radar move that has gotten us to the playoffs.

No, you're wrong. As far as pure talent Williams is 40 times better than Tolliver. He is a much better overall player than Tolliver in general. Is he overpaid? Slightly yeah, but Williams is a nice upgrade over Tolliver.

Because spot up shooting is Tolliver's role.

Williams can benefit from Jefferson just as much imo, if placed in the same role.

Williams will space the floor from both forward spots imo.

That says that Tolly is good value at 1M and that Messy Marv is horrible value at 7M. That's what it say with flashing lights.

Tolliver reportedly has 4-5 teams after him. Hes going to get a nice little pay raise, so that 1M ordeal is irrelevant.

Messy Marv is gonna have me begging for Zeller to come in at PF or whoever our 3rd string SF is. I can already see it. I hated him at the Hawks when I liked Joe Johnson a little bit and he's cornier now than he was then.
