Hallelujah, praise Jebus, Amen!

I wish this would've been the case the last 10 offseasons.

Since Suns will try S&T when we offer - is it within rules to initiate a S&T without having made a offer to player - in other words could Bucks approach Suns to send Ersan and top7protected 1st for Bledsoe who the Suns sign at max. IF that's possible it would be better to create cap space by just including ERsan in trade to Suns RATHER THAN trade Ersan to some 3rd party we have to further incentivize as well as then still compensating Suns.

You guys protest too much. You know you love looking at all these threads right now. 8-)

Besides, just don't click on it until DB edits the title when the offer sheet is signed.

PP - what makes you so confident he will sign one with us?

^^^^Jason Kidd.

And the fact our guards are terrible. He'd own that position for us versus having to share duties in that crowded Suns backcourt.

Finally and most importantly, who has max or close to max cap room left that would put that offer sheet out there? Bledsoe wants to get paid first and foremost. $63 million goes a long ways.

How much cap room do we have to potentially offer Bledsoe a contract?

I also think the Suns are full of it when they say they'll match any offer.

Their franchise has a history of losing talent because of shortsighted money based decisions.

Sarver is notoriously cheap too, if he doesn't want to shell out max money for a 3rd starting quality PG, they won't be matching.

Since this thread is still open, I'm going to ieep saying what I've been saying all thread.

Please no Bledsoe. I won't feel comfortable until he's off the market.

I would've rather signed Greivis Vasquez. And I had no interest in Greivis Vasquez. Bledsoe would be a step backwards for this organization.

Bucks missed their chance with Lin. Signing a non-superstar to a four year max contract is not the move a team coming off a 15-win season whose two best players are 19 should make.

3 years/46mil just like Chandler, no reason to go 4 years on a guy who has had injuries etc.

I don't think we can "Jeff Teague" it here. If you want to go for it with him, you offer the full four years and the max. I think Phoenix would welcome the three years.

I think the bigger question is whether you could offer them the option of Ersan and a lotto protected pick for Bledsoe at 4/$50 with the threat you are going to offer 4/$63 otherwise. This is where Edens and Lasry need to do the talking versus Hammond.

Don't most teams have a real GM that does this? I know Edens and Lasry are good businessmen, but this is almost as bad as condoning Kohl & the cronies.

That only works if both teams are convinced Bledsoe will accept 4/50, which I doubt.

Which begs the bigger question still...

If they can't trust Hammond to do GM stuff, then what exactly are they keeping him for? He makes for an awfully expensive custodian.

Nah, Jeff Teague didn't have the injury history that Bledsoe does and was half the money. Bledsoe isn't a max player but on a 3 year deal in the situation that we are in right now I'm comfortable with it. I'm also pretty comfortable with a high pick next year if the Suns match or if he he gets hurt or just doesn't work out, so I wouldn't do the sign and trade either. I just make the offer for 3 years max to Bledsoe and if they match it then sign Jimmer. At least our offense would be fun to watch.

But yeah, hopefully we can move him out for cap room. If he went to either the Rockets or Wizards for their TPE we have potentially $20 milion in cap space to play with. Bledsoe here we come then.

Yeah, it totally sounds like a sales pitch: "Actually, Bob, let me talk for a second about Ill-a-sova. He's a good rebounder and shooter a real team player. And, wait, there's more! He's younger than people realize! He can still grow and improve! Now there's a solid starter!" [winks]

J Kidd, what a snake. Love it. Must be Lasry's bastard or something.

Miami and Bledsoe are reportedly sharing mutual interest. If they get him to sign a deal...we are out of it. The mutual interest is something I have not seen associated with MKE and Bledsoe.

With Schroeder showing some nice growth in Summer leagues, I wonder if Teague isn't a better and more attainable target. I think we can now acquire him...the time has passed...correct?

Perhaps they plan to use him as more of a head scout. Thats probably where hes best suited. "Hey John who is available they we should go after? Tell us who you want and Ill figure out how to make it happen"

The whole think seems cheesy. However, people only use those cheesy sales techniques because they do work on some people. In this case all it takes is one.
