How is it putting alot of pressure by not expecting them to win this year? Let not forget Miami was closer to winning 1 title then they were to winning 3.
Say what you want about Miami, but they've won three titles since 2006 and the Cavs have won zero titles in its entire 44 year history, so let's not forget that either.
And who goes to the Finals 4 straight times and wins two titles back-to-back in the process? Only the 60's Celtics and the 10's Heat have done that, and that's not good enough for Cleveland? I find that very hard to believe.
That has literally nothing to do with the fan base
It has to do with your demands as a fan coming from a struggling franchise. LeBron said his goal was to win at least one ring for Cleveland - knowing that 1 in Cleveland would be worth more to him and Northeast Ohio than 2 or 3 in another city. And that's an honorable goal, but you're basically saying that one isn't good enough.
Winning multiple titles is not easy to plan or do. You have to strike while the iron is hot or you may not win at all. It's like what Kobe Bryant said recently about LeBron and ring expectations:
...for NBA players it becomes about 'how many [championships] you get, which sounds absolutely ridiculous. You’re really lucky and fortunate to win one, but now it’s become so jaded, it’s like, "OK you only won one, you only won two, you should win five or six," which is absolutely ridiculous.'
