King Siddhartha of ancient India (present day Nepal) had everything he could want in this world. He had wealth, the love of his subjects and all the women he could want. He was also married happily to a beautiful woman.
Then one day he saw the pain and suffering of his people and decided to stop being a King. He left his wife, his family, his wealth and his power. He went and then sat under a tree and meditated for years.
When he finally awakened, he transformed into the Buddha.
No one remembers King Siddhartha who had everything....everyone knows about the man who had nothing but became God.
