Knight isnt a bad basketball player, and (I know it is overused here on this forum), would actually benefit from our system much like Bledso did. The kid is young, talented and while not as good defensivly as Bled, I think is a better pure shooter. I actually think he and Goran could play together and next year when he is a restricted free-agent wont command as high of a salary as Bledso, allowing us to not worry about money we give Goran. And Knight is pretty injury free (atleast major surgeries). If it does not work, he will be an asset moving ahead just like everyone else because he is worth his current contract and then some.
Not saying I want to dump Bled, I hope he pulls his head out of his kiester, but that Knight + assets depending on what they are is not a horrible, the kid has shown he can ball not to mention we should atleast be able to also get a guy like Henson or Illy out of it, if not more.
More assets moving foward... more cushion for the pushin!!!!
Yeah, I want to keep Bled, but if it somehow gets toxic and he just won't sign for less than the max, I don't think him, Middleton and a pick is that bad. Middleton is a nice player and could be insurance for Green potentially leaving if he got a huge offer next summer. He's SG with nice size who shot 41% from 3 last year.
